I type the numbers into the phone, smiling to myself as I dial the only number I’ve ever remembered. Pressing the phone to my ear as it rings, I hold my breath. Just when I think that the call won't be answered, he picks up.
“It’s about damn time. I’ve called you more than once.” Miles’s tone is the one I know not to mess with.
“Well, well, is that any way to talk to a lady?” I chastise him jokingly.
“Goddamn it, LeeLee,” he sighs in relief. “Are you okay?”
I take stock of myself and everything that’s gone on since I woke up before I answer him. “Yes, I am good. Really good actually.”
“Shit here is hitting the fan. Your father believes that someone has kidnapped you. He is threatening everyone and anyone that he will go to war if you're not returned to him,” Miles informs me.
My stomach sinks because I don’t want to be the cause of any kind of war. “Miles, I don’t want to come back. I truly believe this is my only way out.”
As I say those words, Nikolay fills the doorway, eyes dark and hungry.

The sound of rushed footsteps has me spinning to face LeeAnn as she comes rushing into the kitchen. When she comes to a stop, I scan her body, looking for anything that could be wrong with her. When I don’t see anything wrong with her, my brain and dick take note that there is water running down her perfect porcelain skin, only stopping when it hits the towel that is barely covering anything. My eyes finally make it back to her face and she has a single eyebrow cocked.
“I need your phone,” LeeAnn demands with her hand out.
“Why?” I question.
She dances from foot to foot as if trying to decide what to tell me. “Please, can I have your phone to call someone?”
I give her a small smile, trying to put her at ease. “Sure.”
LeeAnn gives me a beautiful smile, taking the phone while simultaneously she comes up on her toes, placing a kiss on my lips. I’m so stunned by her actions that she is able to pull back and spin away before my brain can come back online. Thankfully, I come back quickly and she only takes two steps before I’m able to catch her by wrapping an arm around her waist.
“Make sure that you mean it, because when I take you up on the offer, there is no going back,” I growl into the back of her head, fighting the urge to snatch away her towel and find out just how wet she really is. Instead, I kiss the top of her head and let her go, turning back to the counter as I adjust my cock.
It doesn’t take long before she is hollering to me from the bedroom. “It needs a password.”
“One, two, one, five,” I call out to her just as I take a long pull from the bottle of scotch in my hand.
Unable to stand here any longer, I silently make my way to where she is. I make sure that when I make it to the bedroom I stay just out of sight, being that asshole who is listening to someone else's conversation.
“Well, well, is that any way to talk to a lady?” She chastises whoever she called with a small smile on her face.
The person on the phone says something, causing the smile to grow wider. She stops, looking off in thought for a long few seconds before replying, “Yes, I am good. Really good actually.”
LeeAnn’s word brings warmth to my chest. Reaching up, I rub the spot, trying to understand what exactly I’m feeling right now. As I watch her face fall and darken at whatever is said, it too quickly changes the warm feeling in my chest to molten fire ready to deal with whatever is causing that look and to make sure it never happens again.
Her face continues to darken more and more with sadness and heartbreak. “Miles, I don’t want to come back. I truly believe this is my only way out.”
The pull to comfort her is consuming me, causing me to step into the doorframe. Her eyes lift and meet mine. We watch each other, neither of us willing to be the one to break it or be the first to move. Slowly, LeeAnn allows the hand with the phone in it to fall away completely, forgetting whoever it is on the phone. She slowly licks her bottom lip, causing my eyes to drop and follow the movement. With that one little movement, all my restraint snaps.
I take fewer than three strides before I’m standing over her. LeeAnn tilts her head, looking up at me with wide eyes, both curious and fearful. I reach out, cupping her cheek in my hand. I take in her beauty and pure innocence, shrouded in darkness that I will fix no matter what it takes.
“Tell me no. Tell me to leave you be,” I rasp the words out, practically begging her to turn me away.
LeeAnn leans into my hand, her breath catching as her eyes slowly slide closed. “If I don’t want to do any of that, then what?” she challenges, testing my resolve.
I lean in close so that my hands are on the bed on either side of her, forcing her to lean back to put some space between us. I run my nose up the side of her neck, breathing her in. LeeAnn drops her head back, giving me more room to explore. I pepper kisses along the column of her throat to her ear, nibbling her earlobe, grinning against her skin as she brings her hand up, cupping the back of my head. I continue to kiss down the column of her throat to her collarbone, nipping my way across it. The hand in my hair fists, pulling me tighter to her.
Making my way back up her neck to ear, I groan, “What do you want, moya golovolomka?”
