Merrick wrapped his hand in mine and pulled me towards my alphas.
“I’m thinking about a night in, movies, and junk food,” Dorian said as we stopped in front of them.
“Can we do it at my house? I long for my bed. But with all of you with me,” I quickly explained. “I’ve missed my place.”
“Of course, stream horror movies and binge on pizza and ice cream,” Dorian added.
“What about a mix of horror and cozy Halloween? I need some cheesy rom coms or a few classics to mix it up after this last fiasco,” I admitted on a sigh.
“Whatever our witchling wants, she gets,” Merrick agreed.
“You know if you spoil me, I’m going to expect it,” I reminded them, loving that they all stared at me indulgently. We were as close as a pack could get after all this… at least until we bond and go through a heat together.
“We’re a pack that pampers our girl, no ifs, ands or buts,” Rook added with a wink. “We love to make you smile, little witch.”
“Well, I’ll do my best but there are three of you…” I started, suddenly a bit nervous about what that really meant. How could I give them each equal attention? If I had to get it down to an even, perfect split every time it would be more stress than anything.
“And we will do our best not to get jealous. We don’t want you stressing on it,” Dorian said definitively. “Now, let’s split up and you two get the pizza and we’ll get the ice cream.”
“Rook, remember, no chickens in the house. We will see you soon,” I said as I gave a quick kiss to Rook then Dorian before I gave the pair a quick kiss on the cheek before pulling my shapeshifter off towards the pizza place.
The pizza shop was packed but we fought our way to the counter to order.
The kid that was always working smiled as he got out his pen and pad waiting for me to tell him what we wanted.
“I need two Pies Have Eyes and one Jack O’ Lantern and can I add on a Toxic Sludge Mac?” I asked.
“On it, for here or to go?” he asked, still writing the order down.
“What all did you get? I can’t say that I’ve ever had a Pies Have Eyes or whatever else you said,” Merrick said, looking more than a little suspicious.
“It’s just a Halloween play on names. They do it every year. Pies Have Eyes is mozzarella and black olives and the other is pumpkin shaped with pepperoni and black olives. The pasta is just green mac and cheese. Are those okay with you?” I asked, I hadn’t thought to see what he wanted before just ordering like usual.
“Stop overthinking it,” Merrick said, pulling me closer to him. “I’m not a picky eater. I just wanted to know that it wasn’t eel guts or real pumpkin.”
That made me laugh as I looked up at him. “I’m not used to ordering for all of us yet, but I will work on learning all the likes and dislikes you three have.”
“Still overthinking it,” he pointed out gently. “This is all new for all of us. Now that your brother is out of our hair we can actually take the time to get used to being a pack without watching over our shoulders and worrying about you being safe.”
“I’m just glad that none of you got hurt,” I said quietly, my stomach churning at the mere thought. Blake was just as bad, I couldn’t imagine having more worry and guilt on my shoulders.
“We’re glad that you didn’t, either. Who knew we’d go through so much in so little time,” he said, shaking his head.
“I mean we are in a town of cursed supernaturals, so it’s not unreasonable that we have. I just hate that I was the reason that you were in danger. None of you signed up for that.”
Just before he could speak, my name was called. “Prue, your order’s up.”
“What did you want to say?” I asked as I took his hand in mine and pulled him alongside me.
“Just forget it, let’s get back to the house,” he answered, shrinking in on himself.
“Oh no, you’re going to tell me,” I smiled and kissed him on the cheek.
He gave me a faint smile but I knew that he was the one thinking too much right now.
Merrick took the bags in his free hand and I grabbed the boxed pasta.
“Ready?” I questioned and he gave me a little nod.
