Cal

need to ask you all something before I do it

The replies come almost immediately.

Luca

ominous

Eli

what happened

Cal

Danny leaked the demo

Harrison

yeah thought so

Cal

he basically just admitted it to me. And in the contract it’s the version we have to release with apex.

I wait while they type.

Eli

fuck

Luca

I knew it

I have been saying that greasy little goblin did it

Harrison

he actually admitted it?

Cal

Yeah. In his words, technically a third party breached an opportunity he created on purpose

I look at the unsigned contract on my laptop. This deal affects all four of us.

Cal

I want to fire him

but I’m not making any decision that affects all four of us without asking you first

the Apex papers aren’t signed. Danny is their contact and he negotiated the deal

firing him could delay it or even kill it

Harrison responds first.
