But it was probably nothing. Right?
I turned back to Henry, picking up our conversation about his day and some minor staff drama at the bar, but then goosebumps erupted on the back of my neck, and I had the distinct feeling of being watched.
“Baby.” Henry’s voice broke into my unsettling thoughts, and my eyes flicked back to him. “Everything okay?”
I picked up my glass of water and took a sip, letting the cool liquid that trailed down my throat calm my racing heart. “It’s nothing. Just thought I saw something.”
He reached for my hand across the table, and I squeezed his fingers once they closed around mine. “Are you sure you’re okay?”
I swallowed again then nodded. “Yes.” Shaking off the discomfiting vibes, I smiled at him, deliberately relaxing my shoulders. “I’m sorry. You were saying?”
He smirked at me, glancing side to side surreptitiously before leaning in. I mirrored him, getting close enough for him to whisper to me over the tea light burning in a blue glass holder. “I was suggesting you meet me in the restroom in five minutes.” Then he stood up and walked away.
I wasn’t usually one to get up to a bit of fun in the bathroom of a respectable establishment, but the look Henry gave me had me agreeing wholeheartedly. We’d keep it to kissing—okay, and maybe heavy petting if no one else was in the room—but I couldn’t resist the man I was now certain I loved.
Exactly five minutes later, I was on my way to the far side of the starlit space, stepping into the bricked portion of the restaurant and traversing down a small hallway. I quickly pushed through the door marked “Men” and walked through the short entryway that blocked the entrance’s view of the main space.
The men’s restroom was rather large, with a line of gleaming porcelain urinals and a handful of stainless steel stalls that faced the long counter topped with a mirror that stretched the length of the wall. Automatic sinks with gold faucets dotted the white quartz countertop at regular intervals. The walls were painted a deep navy, almost black, and the white, gold, and steel fixtures popped against the dark backdrop in the dim light. As ridiculous as it sounded, it felt almost romantic.
Anticipation twisted my stomach as my eyes landed on Henry, who was at the far sink, washing his hands.
My Daddy turned after I’d had a few moments to take in the room, and since the bathroom appeared empty of other patrons, I ran to him, leaping into his arms and wrapping my legs around his waist while my lips crashed to his. His answering groan as he bumped up against the back wall made my dick harden so quickly my head spun. Or maybe that was just because I was consumed by Henry.
As we kissed, Henry’s hand trailed down my torso to cup my dick trapped in my leather pants, and I cursed my outfit choice as I whimpered into his mouth. We definitely couldn’t go any further than this without getting partially undressed.
But turnabout was fair play, so I clutched his large cock through his jeans, rubbing his clearly visible thick shaft until he moaned against my mouth. Having a Daddy with a big dick had many perks.
I barely registered the door to the bathroom swinging open, but Henry must have, because he pulled away abruptly, setting me down. When he stepped back to lean against the wall, putting unwanted space between us, I frowned at him, wondering what was going on even as I patted at my lips like that could erase what we’d just done.
I didn’t want to get kicked out of this place before we even got to eat.
I scurried over to a sink near the middle of the long counter to wash my hands—great plan, Tris; put yourself between your Daddy and the person here to murder you—as the man who’d entered the bathroom came into view. Henry’s face, visible in the long mirror as he stood against the wall to my left, completely changed when his eyes landed on the person who’d interrupted us.
“What are you doing here?” Henry growled his direction, and I furrowed my brow. I didn’t recognize the blond man I could see on the other end of the mirror, but he looked like he could’ve been a movie star.
The man glanced over at me, sending unwelcome shivers down my spine when our eyes connected in the mirror, then he turned to my Daddy. “Fancy meeting you here.” His eyes flicked to me again. “And in the bathroom with one of your regulars, which isn’t suspicious at all. Tsk, tsk, Henry. That is your name, isn’t it?”
I caught Henry’s gaze in the mirror, and I hoped my questioning gaze made it clear I needed him to fill me in. What was going on? Who was this asshole? And how the fuck did he know who I was?
Henry answered my unspoken question. “Jason Elkins.”
Oh, shit. This was the guy who’d harassed Sam and Cameron last year, the guy Henry had had to kick out of and ban from Mix It Up. He’d told me all about it.
This was not good.
Jason inched forward, and I flinched. I was not an asset in a fight. I couldn’t hit anyone. I had basically no upper body strength, and my dad had never taught me how to throw a punch. My hands were my moneymakers, anyway, and my face—oh god! Not this pretty face!
Don’t hit me!
Jason’s smirk was pretentious, and I hated him instantly. “Henry Ravenwood.” When Henry’s eyes widened, just a little—my poor Daddy didn’t have much of a poker face—Jason laughed. “I’ve done my research.”
Henry pushed off the side wall and took a step forward, towering over Jason—and me—even though the bastard was still several feet away, thank fuck. “I banned you for a reason, Jason. And you’re welcome back in October if you can behave yourself.”
“Right.” Jason’s snort told me he didn’t believe Henry. Well, I didn’t believe him. Where did he get off?
“I keep my word, Jason. Stop being an asshole, and we’ll have no more problems.”
Jason glared at him before delivering his final shot, his words slightly slurred in a way I’d only now noticed. “Oh, your problems are just beginning, old man.”
