“It annoyed me.”
“What was he supposed to say?”

Before I could react, she snatched my phone out my hand.
“Hey!”
She jumped off the couch.
I stood right behind her. “Give me my phone.”
“No.”
“Klair!”
She held it over her head.
“If you text him, I’m beating your ass!”
“Unlock it.”
“Fuck you.”
“What’s the code?”
“Fuck you.”
She looked down at the keypad. “That’s too many numbers, hoe. But forreal… Don’t punish Nash for something he hasn’t done.”
My smile faded when I noticed that she was getting serious again.
I swallowed. “Okay.”
“Tell him when you’re ready.”
