“Sure did.” I grin and reach for the menu. “Dumped his cheating ass last night.”
The whole table erupts into cheers. Scout, currently sporting a rose-gold pixie cut and a shirt that says I'm Not For Everyone, raises her mimosa.
"I hope his dick falls off."
I snort. "That seems a little harsh.”
“It’s not.”
Ellie, Andie, and Tatum raise their glasses to clink with Scout’s while I turn to Cherry. “I’ll take a virgin mimosa.”
Cherry stares at me. “A virgin mimosa?”
“Yeah.”
“So... orange juice.”
I make a face. “Okay, when you say it like that, it sounds sad.”
“Because it is.” She catches one of the servers walking past. “Can you bring her a Neon Flamingo? No alcohol.”
Ellie’s head snaps toward me. “Since when do you skip the alcohol at drag brunch?”
Shit.
Tatum pauses with her straw halfway to her mouth. Her bubblegum-pink lipstick matches the ends of her hair, because Tatum never does anything halfway. “That is an excellent question.”
“I’m hungover,” I say with a shrug.
Nobody buys it. Not even a little.
Scout points her mimosa at me. “You’ve been hungover at brunch before.”
“I know. I just don’t want one today.”
Andie looks over at me. “You’re being weird.”
Shit.
I pick up the menu. “Can we talk about the fact that he trashed my house before he left?”
Ellie’s expression changes. “He what?”
Tatum makes a face. “He trashed your house?”
“Yep. Dumped my monstera over, threw shit everywhere, poured wine all over the counter.”
Scout’s mouth falls open. “What the fuck?”
“Exactly.” I look around the table. “And none of you stopped me from trying to have a baby with this man?”
Andie leans back and crosses her arms. “How exactly were we supposed to stop you?”
I open my mouth, then close it again.
“Okay, good point.”
“We didn’t know he was going to cheat on you and trash your house,” Ellie says. “You loved him. We supported you.”
