To make my point, I lifted my hips to meet his, my eyelids almost fluttering closed from the pleasure, but I kept my eyes on him. “Please, Ark,” I breathed just as clouds rumbled outside, followed by the heavy splatter of rain, smothering our room in a snug darkness.
“Fuck,” he growled, his hips rolling up to pick up the pace. “I was cursing myself not to be a bastard and to be gentle with my wife. But you asked for it.”
A low scream ripped from my lips when my husband really did show me what I asked for. Bracing his weight on his arms, he rocked into me at an unimaginable pace. The pleasure was unbearably beautiful. The kind that swallowed you completely, and you become a mindless, melting doll.
The strength of his thrusts was almost breaking my lower half from the pleasure. His hard, deep, and sensual strokes hit me in all the right places, almost as if he was made to make love to me and me alone. We fit that perfectly together.
Although I wasn’t sure what we were doing would be considered making love.
It was so much more than that.
My toes curled when I felt him expand inside me, and my walls pulled him in more.
“You close, Bella?” he asked, eyeing me through his sweat-beaded lashes. Only the sound of our thighs slapping and heavy breathing filled the air.
“Yes,” I gasped through the fire in my lungs.
“Then come for me, wife,” he commanded, driving into me faster.
At his words, I felt the pleasure reach a high, my core tightening around him as I broke into the tiniest pieces of pure pleasure. So heady, that my mind blanked for a second as colorful dots spread across my vision.
And Arkane followed, groaning my name as he came inside me, jerking and trembling as he filled me completely before his weight crashed onto me.
“I love you,” I whispered, my eyes finding his. “I love you so much, Arkane.”
It didn’t matter if Arkane didn’t say it back because the adored look in his dark eyes told me everything I needed to know.
He loved me too.
By the time I woke up, it was dark outside, but the rain was still going strong, swaying the boat gently. Although it was just us, in the middle of a storm, I never felt more safer.
A soft smile spread on my lips when I found him sleeping beside me. I lifted my cheek from his right arm, which I had been using as my pillow, and slowly climbed over his body.
My cheeks heated at the heavy soreness between my thighs. We did it more than once last night, each time with increased fervor. I felt a blush heating my cheeks just thinking about that.
He looked so beautiful, almost too innocent and childlike. Although I shouldn’t say things like that after all the lewd ways he worshipped my body.
Before my lips could touch his, he blinked his eyes open. Something about the depth of his gray eyes in this low light, ringed with flecks of silver in the shadows, flashed a long-lost image in my mind.
He smirked, his fingers curling tightly over my waist. “Couldn’t resist me, Mrs. Stormhold?”
“Shush,” I whispered, placing a finger on his lips.
His brows furrowed in question when I pressed my palm to the lower half of his face. And he looked exactly like the boy from my memory, only older. I didn’t know how I didn’t even realize it all along.
“Arkane.” My wide eyes found him. “It was you.”
He scrunched his nose. “It was me, what?”
“The boy on Mitch Street!”
“Mitch Street?” He lifted a brow. “What the fuck is that?”
I gripped his shoulders, shaking him. “It was you, the boy who helped me get inside Shonda’s car. You put me in the trunk, remember? I still have the knife you gave me. I don’t go anywhere without it,” I said, leaning over the bed as I dug into my bag and retrieved the pocket knife.
Instead of excitement or surprise, a dejected sigh left his lips. “You mean I could’ve had you a long time ago? Instead, I shipped you off to someone else?”
I chuckled, tracing my lips along the deepest part of his scar, right above his lips.
