A Very Irish Scandal

The tender way he stroked her skin was at odds with the crude words leaving his mouth.

His voice dropped another register, rough and raw. “You strip for me, piece by piece, until you’re bare in front of me. I slide my fingers over you. I feel how wet you are for me, how much you want me when you shouldn’t, and I know you’ll take all of me.” His knuckles moved down her throat in a slow caress. “I can’t stop thinking about you. I hate that I can’t escape you. Not when I’m awake, not when I sleep. I wake up hard and wanting you, and you’re just downstairs and yet I can’t have you. Do you know what that’s like?”

Chapter 20

Even furious, he couldn’t stop touching her. Couldn’t make himself walk away. Unable to let her go, he pulled her tighter against him.

Her hair was scented with orange blossoms, rich as silk in his hands. He’d expected hair that red to blister him. Instead, it wrapped around his fingers with tantalizing coolness. Her chest rose and fell in rapid bursts, the full curves of her breasts testing her neckline. He traced the freckles on her cheek with his lips.

When it came to Addison, one taste was never enough. In the shadows, he tipped up her chin and took her mouth.

The sound she made, low and frantic, sang through his bloodstream. Her hands slipped to his shoulders, short nails digging in.

It had felt like eons since he’d held her this close, and it might be the last time she’d allow it. He reveled in every point of contact—her soft breasts, their tight peaks pressing through fabric, her hands sliding up to clasp the base of his neck.

God, he loved having her like this, warm and pliant and aroused, her heart hammering as hard as his. She made him light-headed, sent his pulse soaring, the bleakness of his life receding. She was a Yarrow, but every stroke of his tongue against hers made him care less and less.

She slipped a cool hand inside his sweats, closing around him. “Take your pants off.”

Her name fell from his lips before he could stop himself, and he caught her mouth under his before more words tumbled out. He tore at both their clothes until they stood naked, facing each other.

Logically, he knew she could barely see him in the shadows, but he couldn’t risk it, couldn’t bear to see her face morph into pity or repulsion. He turned her to face away from him—better. Safer. Gathering her hair in his hand, he touched his lips to her nape, kissed along the slope to her shoulder until she wiggled restlessly against him.

“Stop teasing.”

He nipped at her neck. “You think I’m teasing?”

“Let me turn around.”

“No. Like this.”

Skating his palm down her spine, he guided her forward, urging her to brace herself against the wall. “Yes.” Sleek back, full ass on display for him. “Beautiful.”

Finding her wet and ready for him, he slipped two fingers inside, then a third, reveling in the low sound she made. He fisted his own cock roughly once, twice, and pressed into her slick, welcoming heat. Shit.

He pulled back. “No condom.”

Her growl of disappointment drew a chuckle from him. Even now, aching with need, she captivated him.

“Are there any in the bathroom?” Her voice rose on a hopeful note as she twisted her head to look at him.

“Don’t think so. Fuck.”

He ached to be inside her, but not like this—he cursed again.

She started to straighten, but he stopped her. “Don’t move, Yarrow.”

Even without condoms, there was a lot they could do. “You game to try something?”

Her head dropped forward. “God yes.”

Bending his knees, he adjusted her until she half sat, half leaned against him. “You good?”

She nodded.

“It’s something the ancient Greeks invented,” he ground out, dipping into her slickness.

He felt her low laugh. “I must’ve missed that in your podcast.”
