"Well then. Let's go."

And he let Mel lead him away.

I thought maybe — maybe — if I intervened right now, I could save my behind from something much worse than if I'd just kept my mouth shut. I hurried over to where they were heading, toward the stage.

"Mel, this is a terrible idea. Let my Daddy go. Right now."

"I'm sorry, JJ," she said without slowing down. "He's been captured. And this was all your idea."

"Daddy, I tried to stop her! And Henry! It's their fault, both of them—" I said, trying to do damage control before my fate was sealed. I was deliciously nervous, my heart already going haywire.

"Funny," he said. "Mel told me it was entirely your idea."

Mel gave me an innocent smile. I loved and hated her in equal measure.

Daddy raised his eyebrow at me again. That was never a good sign.

"I'm sure you and I are going to have a very long talk once I'm released."

"Sure," I agreed, "but only after."

And I kept following them to the front of the stage. Eleven chairs had been set up, and Doms and subs alike were helping tie up the captives — except that so far, only subs had actually been kidnapped. Daddy was the only Dom who'd been seated in a chair.

Mel looked at me and said, "Come tie him up."

Daddy looked up at me with a smile that was pure sweet poison.

"Yeah, JJ."

"Well — no, thank you very much," I said, my voice coming out smaller than I wanted, my hands already shaking.

"That's an order," he said, in that calm that was so much worse than any raised voice. "Come tie me up."

And that was when I knew I was completely done for.

I went. Fingers trembling. I stepped close, took his wrists — so much bigger than mine — and started binding them together behind his back. He stayed completely still, letting me do it. I was definitely not a switch, and part of me already wanted to cry and beg him not to make me go through with it — but it was way too late for that. The scene had attracted the attention of half the club by now. Daddy was deeply respected here, and seeing him like this was genuinely shocking to people. But I think everyone was also thoroughly enjoying the drama of it all. I would have been too, if I weren't the one in trouble.

I finished. I stepped around to face him.

"Sorry, Daddy," I tried.

He just looked at me — eyebrow up, smile that said these were my final hours.

"Oh, you're not sorry yet. But you will be. Don't worry, JJ."

My stomach dropped. And to make everything worse, Gustav — who was clearly having the time of his life — said:

"Don't forget the gag."

And handed me a ball gag.

I stared at Daddy.

"Please use your safeword so I don't have to do this," I said.

He laughed.

"Not a chance. You started this — now you finish it."
