“Jesus Christ, Colten. If you’re going to bring another woman back to our villa, do it when I’m unconscious, or I won’t be able to stop myself from making it the most awkward sexual encounter of your life.”
He snickers. “You’d come and watch, huh?”
There are things I’ve researched in the past that intrigued me. I don’t want to be shared. I don’t want to compete with another woman in the bedroom. But I went down a rabbit hole where two guys get each other off, and the woman watches. That… I’d like to live out. I think. Although, I don’t think Colten is the type to share, not after what he did at the bar. Nor has he given me any reason to believe he’s into guys.
I snap my mouth shut. I can’t say that out loud. So, I blurt out something far worse. “No. I’d run in and pretend that I’ve got a terrible stomach bug, and proceed to throw a bowl of melted chocolate mushy stuff over you both and pretend it’s shit.”
His eyebrows knit together. “That's… disgusting.”
“I know. I grew up with three brothers; we used to prank each other all the time. So, keep that in mind.”
Back before Fabio was a dick, even he would join in on the prank wars. It was maybe one of my only happy memories as a kid.
He swallows. “I was talking more about us. Not bringing another woman back.”
My heart flutters, and I move away just an inch, but he notices. “I think that ship sailed when you all but threw me out of your bed after taking my virginity,” I say, pretending it’s a joke. It’s not.
Dammit. Why won’t my mouth stop? Why can’t I shelve this away and forget it ever happened?
“It threw me off. I felt…”
“Like I used you?” I finish for him.
He shrugs. “No. I felt like a dick for how I took it.”
I place my hand on his thigh and his breath hitches. “I wanted it, Colt. Exactly how you did it. I’m not made of glass. You know exactly who I am and what I’m capable of, so go figure.”
He holds out his hand in front of me. “Truce? At least for this trip?”
I slide my hand in his and squeeze, making sure my nails dig into his skin. I need to stop letting my mask slip with him. “Truce…”
“But?” he asks with a smirk.
“You pissed me off, so I will have to get you back. I’m very strict on revenge.”
He licks his lips. “Oh, I’m ready for you, G. Bring it on.”
CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE
Colten

The villa is spectacular, the kind of luxury I can imagine Gianna is accustomed to in LA. I can sleep anywhere; I don’t care much for luxuries. The sun is glistening, the flowers around the archway are blooming in purples and blues, and the waves are crashing against the beach.
This would be the perfect honeymoon location, tucked away by the sea—complete and total privacy. I could walk around the pool butt naked and not a soul would see.
“How long were you expecting this trip to take us?” I call out to G, who is already acquainted with the coffee machine.
I drag her humongous suitcase and carry-on behind me through to the master bedroom. She needs the biggest room for all the stuff she’s carried. She must have done one hell of a shop for this trip.
I set her bag next to the bed and open up the double doors that lead to the patio, letting the sea breeze blow in. As I enter the kitchen, she’s holding two mugs of steaming coffee and hands one to me.
“Oh, thank you.”
“You’re welcome. I thought caffeine was a good pre-drink before I crack open the red wine.”
“I put your bags in the bedroom,” I tell her as she props herself up on the bar stool.
