“All three?”
“All three. Damian, Darlene, and Arian are at the pack house with Paige. They're safe, Arlene.”
My knees almost give out as the last of the fear I've been carrying finally releases. All three of my babies are safe.
“Thank Goddess.”
“Paige has them. She hasn't left them.”
I press my forehead against his chest for a moment and breathe him in. I want my babies. I want to hold all three of them and never let them out of my sight again, but we're not home yet. I pull back and look toward Selena. “We need to get her out.”
Darian follows my gaze. “Selena.”
She gives him a tired smile. “Hi.”
His eyes immediately drop to her stomach. “Are you hurt?”
“No. I'm tired, pissed off, and would really like to go home.”
“That sounds like you.”
“Where's Rylan?”
Darian glances toward the tunnel behind him. “Aboveground trying to kill everyone.”
Selena nods. “That also sounds right.”
A howl rolls through the tunnels, and Selena's head snaps toward the sound.
Darian smiles. “That would be him.”
“Take me to my mate.”
DARIAN'S POV
I don't let go of Arlene's hand. I don't care if it makes moving through these tunnels harder. I spent too long feeling our mate bond but getting nothing from her through it. I knew she was alive, but I couldn't hear her, couldn't find her, and couldn't tell if she was hurt. Now that she's beside me, she's staying there.
My wolf agrees. Mate safe.
"Not yet."
Not until we're home. The warriors who came underground with me spread around us as Arlene leads the way. She knows these tunnels better than any map we found in Vale's house, so I let her guide us toward the surface while we protect both sides. Selena slows, and Arlene immediately adjusts her pace without saying anything. “I'm fine,” Selena says.
“I didn't ask.”
“Bossy.”
“You're pregnant.”
“So were you a few days ago.”
“And I listened to everyone.”
I look at Arlene. Her eyes narrow. “Don't.”
“I didn't say anything.”
“You were thinking it.”
