A few male wolves shift in their seats.

“Some of you have convinced yourselves you need experience before meeting your mate. That you need to bed enough shewolves to know what you’re doing when she finally comes along.”

Someone near the back calls out, “Practice makes perfect, Alpha.”

Laughter erupts.

Rylan shakes his head. “Practice brings unnecessary issues when your mate arrives. Some of the drama in this pack is because of practice. So keep it in your pants. Jack off if you have to, but…”

Joshua chuckles beside him, “The Alpha is saying to wait for your mate.”

That quiets some of them.

“There are experiences you may appreciate a hell of a lot more when the first wolf you share them with is the wolf you’re going to spend your life with. The sparks and sensations are worth the wait.”

One of the younger male wolves raises his hand. “What if you don’t know what you’re doing?”

“Learn. Read a fuck book and learn about a shewolf’s biology.”

More laughter rises.

“I’m serious. Talk to male wolves who have healthy relationships with their mates. Ask questions. Learn what makes a good mate before yours ever arrives. Learn how to communicate. How to listen. How to handle disagreements without trying to dominate every damn conversation.”

Rylan shrugs. “Hell, if enough of you need help, we’ll start classes.”

The gathering erupts.

“Male only,” Rylan adds.

That makes it worse.

“And we don’t have to tell the shewolves.”

Joshua laughs. “Now you’ve got their attention.”

“Apparently secrecy is the selling point.”

A warrior calls out, “What happens in mate class stays in mate class.”

Rylan points toward him. “Within reason.”

More laughter rolls through us.

Then his expression hardens slightly. “And before one of you idiots gets the wrong idea, I’m talking about classes on how to build healthy relationships with your mates. Communication. Self control. How to listen. How to make your mate feel safe and valued. How to adjust when two wolves who lived separate lives suddenly have to build one together. And the art of pleasuring your mate… listen to the fucking mate part.”

He looks around.

“Not how to lie better. Not how to hide shit from your mate. Not how to manipulate her. Not how to control her. Not how to get away with something without being caught. If that’s what you want to learn, don’t bother showing up.”

Joshua raises his writing pad. “Different meeting.”

Rylan looks at him.

Joshua grins. “The one in your office where they explain why they thought that was a good idea.”

The gathering bursts into laughter.

Rylan chuckles. “Exactly. The one when your mate kicks you out and your requesting a room in the pack house.”
