Lazily Ever After

My mates. I’d never grow tired of hearing that.

“Thank you, Charles. I will.”

When I ended the call with Charles, Silas looked at me with expectant eyes. “Griffie, does that mean we can take Warren home now? I really want to cuddle. Everything feels so overwhelming. I need both of you.” Silas’s voice was soft and high-pitched, like it was whenever he regressed. It didn’t surprise me that with everything going on, he was regressing. I glanced at Warren, worried that he might react negatively to Silas’s changing behavior. When my gaze landed on him, Warren was looking at Silas with eyes that sparkled, and my worries washed away. Warren wasn’t just our mate. He was literally the other third of our soul. I needed to trust in fate’s pairing.

Warren lifted both our hands and placed a soft kiss on each of our knuckles. “I think that sounds wonderful, Silas. After we’re done talking, we can watch a movie while we cuddle.”

Silas gasped with childlike joy and asked. “Can we watch my favorite movie? It has lots of animals, and they all talk and live in a big city. It’s my favorite because this sloth drives super fast.”

As always, Silas looked adorable as he rambled on about his favorite movie. Warren chuckled. “You’re absolutely adorable. That must be why you’re wearing a sloth onesie. It looks very adorable on you. I would be honored to get to watch your favorite movie with you, honey.” He turned toward me. “If that’s okay with you, sweetheart?” His concern for me warmed my undead heart and made me chuckle. If only he knew how many times I’d seen that movie.

“I’d already promised him we could watch it when we got back, so I have no problem with it.”

Warren’s smile was warm and made my tummy flutter. “You two are absolutely precious. Okay, my vampires, show me the way.”

Excitement coursed through me as we led Warren back to the coven house. This man was going to be the perfect mate for Silas and me. Our mate, and hopefully, one day, he would be our Daddy as well.

Chapter four

Silas

My mind raced, and every cell in my body pulsed as all three of us walked hand in hand to the coven house. Warren was in the middle with Griffin and me on either side of him. The air around us was thick with anticipation as we walked. Even though we’d known Warren for less than an hour, he felt safe. I’d never cared much about finding my mate beforehand, but now that I had met them, they were all I could think about. A new awareness was there that wasn’t before, and it was overwhelming. What usually felt dull and unimportant now felt sharp and undeniably important.

Griffin and I sighed in relief when we saw our building come into view. When we walked into the lobby, it was alive and thriving with everyone getting ready to start their day. I looked over to see a wide-eyed Warren taking in his surroundings with shock and awe. “You two live here?”

Griffie just chuckled. “I know it can be intimidating at first. This is where our coven lives. It helps to have such a large, luxurious space when over two hundred people live in the same building.

Warren seemed to relax slightly. “That makes perfect sense. I find it very cool that all of you live in the same place. . . It’s interesting.”

Griffie and I both smiled fondly, but he was the one to speak. “Well, that’s what families do, don’t they? Live together and take care of one another.”

Warren’s eyes grew sad, and seeing such an expression on his beautiful face made my chest feel as if it were being ripped in two. I squeezed his hand, my voice shaking with nerves. “Warren, are you okay?”

Warren cleared his throat, but his voice sounded broken as he spoke. “I-I wouldn’t know.”

Griffin cocked his head in confusion. “Wouldn’t know what?”

That time when he spoke, it felt as if my chest actually cracked in half, and it was all I could do not to cry. I’ve never cried, not in my whole three hundred years of existence.

“What families do. . . well, a good family. Mine didn’t do much taking care of one another. Hell, at times it was as if we didn’t even want to live together.”

Griffin and I both whimpered and threw ourselves at Warren, making him grunt from the force of our impact. “Well, you’re our mate now. That means you’re a part of our family, and we always make sure to take care of one another.” Griffin was practically sobbing as he spoke into Warren’s shirt.

“Griffin’s right. You belong with us now.” Warren wrapped his arms around us, and it was the best hug I’d ever felt. I usually wasn’t one for hugging unless it was Griffin, but a hug from both my mates was the best feeling I’d ever experienced. I wondered what it would feel like to touch each other in other ways. My cock grew hard almost instantly, and I backed away slowly so Warren wouldn’t feel it. There would be plenty of time to grind my hard cock against my mate’s leg, but standing in the lobby of our coven’s home was not it.

“Thank you, boys. I’m starting to feel like Silas. Let’s get to your room. I need to hold you both. I can’t believe this is really happening.”

“It’s real, I promise.” Warren’s smile was dopey and full of affection at my reassurance.

“I sure hope so because I never want this to end.” I felt overjoyed as we joined hands and began walking toward the elevator.

Time seemed to stretch on forever as we made our way up the elevator to our suite. When we came of age, we’d each gotten our own space outside our parents’ home. We’d managed to spend three nights alone before we found ourselves crawling into each other’s bed. No matter what was going on, we were always together during the day, but as soon as we retreated to our own space for the evening, it was damn near impossible to stay away from one another. At first, we told ourselves it was because we were lonely and not used to living on our own, but we weren’t fooling anyone. I knew then that it was much more than that. Even though Griffin and I were unable to identify each other as each other’s mate all these years, we had still unknowingly been able to feel the pull between our souls.

When we reached our suite, Griffin let go of Warren’s hand with a reluctant sigh and opened the door. Griffin and I watched Warren as he looked around our apartment, taking in the space with soft, sparkling eyes. “I’m going to be honest. . . I’ve spent most of my life with my head stuck in vampire fiction novels. I was expecting something a little more gothic.” Fear gripped me. Did Warren not like our place? Warren’s body shivered, and then he relaxed with a soft smile. “I’m glad I was wrong, though. The whole space feels warm and inviting. It’s the perfect space for cuddles and a movie.”

Relief washed over me. Warren was right. Our entire living room and kitchen were full of bright colors and soft fabrics. The couch was covered in stuffed animals and fluffy throws, and yes, even our kitchen towels were a bright yellow and soft to the touch. If Griffin was going to force me to do the dishes, I was going to do so with a soft towel. I couldn’t handle the rough, scratchy ones. I practically shuddered just thinking about it. Griffin and I loved all things colorful and soft, whether we were little or big. We had made sure the whole space was full of comfortable items. Napping was my favorite pastime after all. As I looked at Warren and Griffin, I couldn’t help but think my favorite pastime was about to change.

Warren knew just what to say, and so far hadn’t seemed even slightly bothered by me floating in between big and little. I wasn’t sure whether Warren was an experienced Daddy or if it simply came naturally to him. Either way, he had major Daddy energy.
