“Do tell, dinosaur,” she said teasingly.
He shot her a look. “Very sassy for someone who is nearly well enough to get their bottom paddled.”
“Hey, no one talked about a paddle,” she exclaimed. “Where is this paddle coming from? I’m not getting my bottom paddled.”
He raised an eyebrow. “You just said paddle three times. Maybe you like the idea of getting paddled.”
“Ugh, that’s ridiculous. Just because I say the word threesome three times doesn’t mean I want a threesome.”
Ammo frowned down at her. “You better not want a threesome because that is definitely not happening.”
“Daddy, you’re just shooting down all my dreams today,” she teased, but his scowl deepened and she swallowed hastily. “I’m joking, I’m joking. No threesomes.”
“I’m going to monitor your phone to make sure no messages come in from that guy.”
She nodded. She didn’t really care. “I’ll just message Kirsten and ask her about the toys.” She took the phone and sent a quick message to her friend, also thanking her for washing her Garfield pajamas.
Kirsten: The toys weren’t mine or my dad’s. They were my grandma’s.
Aimee: Wow, she kept her toys from when she was a kid?
Kirsten: No, my grandfather made her those toys. I have a feeling she was a Little. My dad never said much. He just said that she liked to play with toys.
“Kirsten thinks that her grandma might have been a Little. She was the one that used to play with these toys, so they are really old. A bit like you, dinosaur.”
“Brat, don’t tempt me to put you in the corner.”
“Why would you put me in the corner, Daddy?”
“So that you can contemplate the error of your ways.”
“That sounds really boring.”
“That’s the idea,” he told her.
Luckily, she was distracted by another text message coming through.
Kirsten: But you should play with them. I think she’d like the idea of somebody using them.
Aimee: Thanks. Love you.
Kirsten: Love you, too. Hope SGD is looking after you.
Aimee: He is.
“I wonder if Kirsten’s grandma really was a Little.”
“I guess she could have been,” Ammo said. He started searching around in the coffee table drawers and pulled out a piece of paper and a pen.
On the top of the piece of paper, he wrote the words: Aimee’s Rules.
She groaned. “Oh, no. Are we really doing that? Can’t we just play? How about you be the Little, and I’ll be the Daddy?”
“Yeah, that’s not happening,” he told her as he started to write down the rules.
1. No leaving wherever they were without telling him.
2. No riding any public transport without him.
