When he moved away, I was annoyed, but damn did those words make up for the absence of his tongue on mine.

“Real good,” I said, tangling my free hand in the collar of his shirt and tugging so his lips were back where they were meant to be.

“Uh … excuse me?” someone said from the front door of the complex and Niall grumbled an apology, taking a few steps back until his back hit the wall, tugging me along with him so we were out of the way. “Thanks, I guess.”

As the guy’s footsteps drifted off, I couldn’t help but break the kiss to giggle.

“Stop that,” he grumbled, kisses trailing from my cheek down to my neck. “I’m trying to follow your instructions.”

“At the risk of annoying your neighbors?” He reached my collarbone, pressing a full kiss there that turned my giggles into groans.

“You told me to kiss you.” He nipped at the sensitive skin and I let go of his shirt and grabbed his shoulder to keep myself upright. “I take those kinds of instructions very seriously apparently.”

“Apparently?” I repeated, pressing my pelvis against his, for balance more than anything else. But then I felt what he was working with and I pressed a little harder.

“I’ve never done the … you-tell-me-what-to-do thing before.”

“I’ve only told you to do one thing.” I chuckled and rolled my hips against him. This time he let go of my head to grab my waist and stop me.

“And yet I’m already addicted.” To prove his point, he tugged so my pelvis pressed against his hardening cock. His shoulders shuddered from the contact and he pressed his mouth against my neck to muffle his moan. The way the sound vibrated through my body made me echo it.

“Fuck, Niall. Take me inside.” So fast I felt the air around us whoosh, he took my hand and ran us inside. As we approached the crowded elevator line, Niall pivoted us toward the stairs.

“If you’re higher than the third floor—” I started to complain, half joke, half concerned about being out of breath in front of this hot sports guy. But my worries were swept away when the man literally swept me off my feet and started up the stairs. Suddenly I understood my kids at recess giggling on the swings. My heart was in my throat and I was breathless in the best possible way.

“Fifth floor.”

“And you think you can carry me all that way?”

“I’d be a pretty shitty soccer player if I didn’t have that kind of endurance.”

“Endurance, huh?” I shifted in his hold to wrap my arms around his neck and pressed a kiss to his collarbone. “But will you still be able to perform for me when we get to your room?”

“Yes,” he said, shuddering some before quickening his pace. “But if you keep that up, I’ll have to ask how you feel about sex in a stairwell.”

I twisted my tongue over his skin, loving how his knees quaked.

“Leah,” he groaned.

“Imma say no to stairwell sex. There might be cameras and I don’t consent to some random security guard seeing my tits.”

“Fair. But you’ve gotta stop doing that, it’s hard to see.”

Pouting, I puffed a bit of air out of my nose, making him shiver again.

“Leah,” he groaned, grip on my legs tightening.

“What?” I asked, letting the breath of words tickle his neck, sending his hair on edge. “I stopped.”

“Heh, I see. You’re doing that on purpose.”

“I don’t know what you're talking about.” I kept my mouth close to his neck so my lips grazed his skin as I spoke.

“Is this a part of the following instructions thing? Torturing me?” he asked as we rounded past the fourth floor.

“Hmm, I wouldn’t know. I haven't done it before either.”

Niall jerked to a stop and I lifted my head to look at him with a raised brow. “Really? You haven’t?”
