But he smiled at me in a way I hadn’t seen before. It was kind of…goofy and lopsided. I liked it. A lot.
“Let me know when you’re ready to do it again,” I said, flipping my crazy hair from my face and sitting beside him.
“I could do this all night, Rosi. Be careful what you wish for.”
The soreness had already bloomed between my thighs, but maybe if we tried it a bit more slowly this time…
My wristband buzzed, and Cora’s name flashed across the screen.
“What?” I asked, choosing to use audio only or risk being teased for the rest of my life.
“Are you okay?” she asked, sending my pulse into panic mode.
“Yeah, why? What happened now?”
“Thank God. Sherri and I left the room to pick up some food, and by the time we got back we’d nearly frozen to death! The climate controls outside of the rooms changed to match the outside temps. Now we’re in emergency lockdown mode, and everyone’s trapped inside their rooms unless they bundle up and move fast. How have you not heard this yet?”
Exchanging a glance with Austin, we both jumped off the bed. “We haven’t tried to go out.”
“Well trust me, you shouldn’t.”
Austin rushed out to the front of the suite butt naked and pressed his palms to the door. Jumping back quickly with a yelp and wide eyes, he looked at me. Damn, even in this situation I had to pause to appreciate the perfection of his ass.
“Right. Does maintenance know?”
“Duh.” I imagined Cora cocking a hip and tossing her hair. “I called them first thing when I got back to the room. They’re working on it. I just wanted to check on you because I hadn’t heard from you.”
“I’m okay. At least we have everything we need inside the suite.”
“Wait. How could I have been so blind? I bet you do have everything in there. No wonder you haven’t come out or called. So how is he in bed?”
Before I could suffer any more embarrassment, I disconnected the call with a quick, “Gotta go.”
At least the rooms were still livable. Things could have been worse than being trapped with Austin for a few days.
