Bound To A Billionaire Menace 2: Episode Two

Instead of answering me, he looked down at my plate.
“That sandwich doing you good?”
I laughed because ignoring a dead girlfriend to ask about my lunch was some shit only Ares would do.
“Yeah.”
“Good. I’m taking you somewhere nice for dinner tonight.”
I frowned. “Why?”
“To get you out of this house again.”
I hesitated because going out in Paris was different from stopping somewhere on the road where nobody knew who I was.
Ares noticed.
“Don’t worry. I promise nobody who matters will see you.”
I studied him for a moment before nodding. “Okay.”
He came over and sat across from me before taking a pull from his vape. A few seconds later, he reached across the table and took a bite of my sandwich without asking.
I smacked his hand.
“That’s mine.”
He grinned while chewing. “You’re beautiful.”
“What the fuck does that have to do with my sandwich?”
“Nothing.”
He reached for it again, and I moved the plate away from him.
“Get your own.”
“I got money. I don’t need my own.”
“That makes no fucking sense.”
“It made enough sense for me to get a bite.”
I shook my head while he sat there looking pleased with himself.
The television was still talking about a murdered woman who used to belong to his long list of girlfriends, and Ares hadn’t asked one question about what they were saying.
I noticed that.
I didn’t ask him about it again, but I definitely noticed it.
