“Yeah.” I tug on the front of his jacket until his mouth is merely an inch from mine. “But first you have to get me to your place without getting us pulled over.”
His grin turns falsely innocent. “Now, why would we get pulled over, Marcus?”
“Because I haven’t touched you properly in a year, and I’m about five minutes away from not giving a fuck about public decency.”
His cheeks burn red. “Such a bad influence. God, I’ve missed it. Now, get in the car.”
“And I thought I was the demanding one,” I tease. As soon as he turns to walk toward the driver’s seat, I reach out and grab his wrist, pulling him in for a quick kiss. He nearly melts into me before I force myself to let go and round the truck to the passenger seat.
Once I’m settled, I take him in again. Evan is gorgeous, so incredibly sexy and handsome. And he’s hard.
“How long till your apartment?”
He looks at me and shakes his head. “Stop looking at me like that or we’ll never make it there.”
“I mean… you do have a backseat.”
“It’s somehow smaller than your Jeep backseat. Give me half an hour, forty minutes tops. Then we have nowhere to be for days.”
“Mmm, okay. I like the sound of that.” I lean back in my seat, letting my gaze drag over him slowly.
He groans, pulling out of the parking spot. “You’re going to make me crash.”
“I’ll be good, but maybe you could drive faster?”
“You can be patient, Marcus.”
“Can I?” I let my hand rest on his thigh, feeling the muscle tense under my palm. “Because I’m not sure I can. Or you can.”
His knuckles go white on the steering wheel. “You’re such a tease.”
“You love it.”
“I do,” he admits, and I love hearing those words from his pretty lips. “I really fucking do.”
We finally merge onto the highway as the city blurs past the window. Seattle seems beautiful, but I can’t stop looking at Evan.
“Tell me about your apartment. Distract me.” I need to chill out before I combust.
“It’s a small one-bedroom, but it has a balcony with a view of the water. I moved there my third year in Seattle. I love it, so I hadn’t considered moving, but we can look at some other places while you’re here.”
My heart hammers in my chest at his words. He wants to look for places for us to live together? I assumed I’d get my own place to give us time to get settled, but he doesn’t want that. He wants to jump in with both feet.
“You want to move in together? Are you sure?” I ask, shocked.
“Very. I’m not sure you know just how much I want you.” He pulls into a parking garage and cuts the engine. “I don’t know if I’ve ever been so close to coming in my pants and you hardly touched me.”
“Fuck, Evan. That makes me want to drag you across the console right here.”
“Good.”
“Get out, baby. If you’re that desperate over nothing, let’s see how you do once I’ve actually touched you after a year.”
Evan’s out of the truck before I can process it, rounding the hood to open my door. The chivalry is so out of place with the raw, animalistic energy thrumming between us that it makes my head spin. Evan grabs my bag from the back, then his hand finds mine, and he leads me through the garage and into the elevator. I was too distracted by him to even pay attention to what his building looks like.
The ride up is agony. The semi-mirrored walls in the elevator reflect us back to ourselves. All I can see is two desperate, hungry men on the verge of breaking. Evan’s erection is straining against his zipper, begging to be free. I want to drop to my knees right here in this elevator and beg him to let me suck his dick, but I force myself to wait.
We’re so close now.
