“What about you? Give me your own tattoo tour.” He watches my fingers move over his skin before redirecting my attention to my own.
I hold my arm up so he can see my nature-inspired tattoo with mountain ridgelines that wrap from my shoulder down past my elbow. “This one took like three years to finish. Started it after my first backpacking trip out in Seattle, kept adding pieces to it. This ridge is the North Cascades. It’s got a little bit of everything. This one’s a fern, because I thought it looked cool and I have no better explanation than that.”
“They don’t all have to have a deep meaning. The fern’s cool.”
I smile at that before turning my arm so he can see the inside of my bicep, where a small compass sits half-hidden by the rest of the piece. “I have my own compass. This one’s for my grandpa. He always said, ‘as long as you know which way is home, you’re never really lost.’”
Marcus goes quiet for a second, thumb tracing slow circles against my ribs. “That’s a good one.”
“Are you gonna get more?”
“Probably.”
We stay like that a while, still holding hands, cuddled in his bed together, neither of us in any hurry to move. Eventually, we order delivery, watch a movie in bed, and before I go to sleep in his arms I wonder if maybe one day, we could get matching tattoos.
CHAPTER 21
Marcus
Iwake up before Evan does. His back is pressed to my chest, his breathing is slow and even. I don’t want to disturb him, so I lie there, content that he’s here.
Very few people have ever seen my apartment and no one besides Josh has ever spent the night. But Evan isn’t just anyone.
The slow rise and fall of his shoulder is almost hypnotic to watch. A small scar on his hand catches my eye, one I’d never noticed before, and I make a mental note to ask him about it later. Almost immediately, though, my brain starts counting down the hours we have left, bracing for tomorrow morning when we still have all day today and tonight. But I refuse to spend it counting down our time together.
Evan stirs in my arms before the spiral can fully take hold.
“Mmm, morning,” he says groggily. Thankfully, not making any effort to escape my hold.
“Morning. How’d you sleep?” The question feels intimate since we’re not in a hotel. We’re in my bedroom.
“So good.”
I smile into his messy brown hair before placing a kiss to the back of his head. Evan has me completely wrapped around his finger, and I wonder if he can tell. I’ve never had a boyfriend before, and I didn’t know I wanted one, until him.
“I can feel how hard you are,” he says, hips stirring against my hard dick.
“There’s a sexy man with a perfect ass laying in my arms, it can’t be helped.”
“My ass says it misses you.”
“You wanna go again, baby?”
“Yes.”
I don’t need convincing. I spoon up behind him while we’re both still sleepy, fitting my cock between his perfect ass cheeks, rutting slow and lazy against him. I wrap my hand around his dick and pepper kisses along his cheek as he moans, pushing back to meet me, thighs squeezed tight. When he finally comes, spilling into my sheets with my name breaking apart in his throat, I follow right after, painting his ass with cum while I stroke myself.
People always talk about how different it is when you find your person, but they never said it’d be this good.
They also never said what to do when that person lives two thousand miles away.
“I could get used to this,” Evan mumbles as we lie there, wrapped up in each other.
“Me too,” I admit. The weight of the admission is heavy, yet freeing, because there are still so many questions… like what the hell do we do with this feeling? “I’m glad we got two extra nights this year.”
“Same. Maybe we can add more next year and you can come visit in Seattle.” His stomach growls, cutting right through the moment. His whole face goes red, and he buries it into the pillow with a groan, shoulders shaking with laughter he’s clearly trying to smother. “Oh my god. Please forget you heard that.”
“Let’s get cleaned up and get you some breakfast, huh?” I tease.
