Breaking Storm

A knock on the door and a polite smile brought Daven what Ryneth needed. Joining him on the bed, he rolled onto his side behind Ryneth and placed the tray with food and drink in front of them.

“First, you eat,” Daven commanded. “Then, you tell me every word they put in your head. Then I decide how we handle this.”

Ryneth sniffed. “I don’t want to eat.”

Daven stared at that messy blond hair and groaned. “You’re so fucking stubborn. You think you’re a product? Fine. In that case, I’m maintaining my asset. Open your mouth.” He brought an olive to Ryneth’s mouth, using the reflection of the glass to aim right.

Ryneth parted his lips and let Daven feed him, his tongue colliding with Daven’s fingers when he scooped up the ham. Fuck, that was… Daven’s cock swelled further inside his pants. Yeah, he liked feeding Ryneth.

“My teeth won’t stop itching,” Ryneth muttered when they were halfway through the plate.

“That’s because you’re still pent-up, baby.”

Ryneth didn’t react. Instead he kept eating, kept staring outside the glass.

“Kylix asked why they left me behind,” he said once they’d finished the plate. “It was because my static escaped. It always comes to protect me. I just—I wanted out. That cage was awful. The not knowing, being locked up like an animal… It was terrifying."

“But you escaped the cage.” Daven set the tray aside and crawled back up behind Ryneth, sliding a hand over his slim hips, down to his underwear. Ryneth was still hard, and he shivered when Daven traced the outline of his cock with his rings. “And I’ve put you in mine.”

Ryneth twisted hard, trying to roll out from under him. “I’m not in your cage.”

The static flared again, hotter and closer this time, snapping toward Daven’s shoulder.

“Wrong answer.” Daven pinned him flat with air, forcing his wrists above his head.

“I—I didn’t—”

“No, that’s right. You didn’t.” Daven pressed his lips to Ryneth’s throat and bit, squeezing his dick at the same time.

Ryneth moaned, hips bucking even as he snarled, “I can’t trust you.”

“Can’t trust me?” Daven asked against the delicate skin over Ryneth’s Adam’s apple. “Tell me, aethera. If you can’t trust me, then who can you trust?”

“I don’t know. You fucking—you fucking…” He looked down, panting, when Daven’s air slid under the fabric of his shirt and ripped it open, buttons skittering across the floor.

“Well, I do. You don’t get handed over like a package.” His voice dropped. “Not when I’m the one touching you. You are valuable, Ryneth. But you keeping secrets means I have to remind you whose hands you’re in.” He let his air embrace Ryneth’s engorged cock and stroked while he humped against the other man’s ass.

Ryneth arched. Static burst free.

“That’s right. Show me how you hate me. Go on,” Daven breathed. “Fight me. Let it out.”

Ryneth threw his head back, arching into Daven or trying to get away from him, Daven didn’t care. Ryneth wasn’t going anywhere.

The lights flickered. Glass cracked somewhere in the penthouse.

Daven laughed, then latched onto Ryneth’s collarbone once again. “No, aethera. That’s not how good boys behave.”

“You fucking asshole.”

“Is that it, baby? Are you scared of me? Is that why you kept secrets from me?”

“No,” Ryneth grumbled. He let out a filthy moan when Daven replaced the air with his hand, fisting Ryneth’s veiny, thick length. “I’m not afraid of anyone.”

“Beautiful liar.” Daven rolled Ryneth onto his back and loomed over him. Straddling the other man’s thighs, he pressed their erections together and rolled his hips, loving how his air teased around his balls as it spoiled them both.

“You’re scared. And you should be.” Leaning in, Daven spread the torn shirt and sucked on one of Ryneth’s nipples, making the other man arch off the bed. “You should be terrified,” he murmured as he licked and teased the bud before dragging his tongue to the other nipple, lavishing it with the same treatment.

“I’m not,” Ryneth choked. “I’ll fight them. I’ll fight anyone who comes too close.”
