His Favorite Felon

Crazy to think this little troublemaker has bulldozed her way into my home and turned me into a ‘can I have a hug’ ass nigga.

She didn’t really hug me. Her hands were at her sides as I wrapped my arms around her. That shit pissed me the fuck off. So, I grabbed her wrists and forced her arms to wrap around me. Once she got with the program, her hug tightened, and then she melted into me.

She smelled like cherries, maybe with a hint of vanilla. Whatever it was, it made my hands curious. Just as I moved to cup her thick ass, she smacked my hand and pushed against my chest to create some space.

“Naw, nigga, to even touch the cat, you gon’ have to do more than say sorry,” she said while she mean-mugged me.

“Say less, Trouble. I like to earn my keep.”

“Okay, and you’re going to start by…” she asked.

Man, I don’t even know what I’m doing or how far I want to take this shit. On god, I couldn’t explain it. I just want to keep her around. I pulled my phone out to text Chyanne, my little sister. In hindsight, that probably wasn’t the smartest idea.

Get me a section tonight

Big head: Damn. Hi to you too!

Big head: Niggas always want shit

“Um, hello. Do you need privacy?” Trouble asked sarcastically.

I smirked at her for being bothered that I was on my phone.

“Hold on, baby. I’m planning a date for us, actually.” I reached into my pocket and handed her my black platinum credit card.

“Go to Tanger Outlet and get yourself a fit. We’re going Code Red tonight.”

“A black card. Nigga! Who the fuck are you? You know what? I don’t even care. You owe me this, and I hope it’s unlimited.”

She didn’t even give me a chance to respond before her phat ass brushed past me as she walked past me to head back to her car. I sank my top teeth into my bottom lip at her feisty ass. I know for certain she walked all over my brother, and that’s why he had to ghost her. But she gon’ learn quick I ain’t my brother.

When she headed out, I quickly called my boy, Rich. This nigga was a tech nerd. He could find out almost anything. I met him a few years ago at my sister’s lounge. He was dropping crazy bankroll. We ended up linking up and kinda merging our businesses. I wasn’t no dummy, but that nigga was on some Einstein shit, so, for lack of better words, he was the brain, and I was the muscle, or the electrician, some would say, because I was known to knock a nigga’s lights out.

He answered on the third ring. “Yoo, what up, Link.”

I was known as Link on the streets because I was like a jack-of-all-trades. Whatever you needed, if I ain’t have it, then I knew a guy who did. I was the link between a lot of niggas, so they started calling me Link, basically implying I was the plug.

“Ain’t shit, my guy. I need a solid,” I said, getting straight to the point. I wasn’t finna’ beat around the bush.

“Say the word,” he responded.

“Bet. My dickhead-ass brother has been fucking around on the job again, and this time his dumbass decided to use my name and address. His shorty was recently released from jail and approached me with so much rah-rah bullshit. You seen her earlier when y’all was leaving out.”

“So, that’s why you ended our meeting early,” he said, sounding bored.

“Yeah, but look, I need you to see if you can find out her name and what she went to prison for. Look on my camera feed from earlier, and you can grab a still image of her and do your thing.”

“Okay. Where was she locked up at, and do you know for how long?”

I rubbed my beard as I thought about what she had mentioned earlier.

“Yeah. My brother has been working at Cumberland, so I assume they met there, and she said she has known him for the past four years.”

I heard him typing on the keyboard, and then it went quiet.
