“Wizard.”
Frost nipped at his balls from the icy way she said his name.
Rocking back on the heels of his boots, he shoved his hands into the back pockets of his jeans and stared expectantly at the man sitting across from her.
Shooting him an angry glare, Natalia made the introductions. “Miles Powell, this is W—”
Wizard held out his hand, cutting her off. “Saint Bryant.”
Natalia’s eyebrows arched in surprise. “Your first name is Saint?” she asked doubtfully, as if she thought he was lying.
His lips tilted into an ironic smile. “What can I say? My mother had a sense of humor.”
Miles looked between them before taking Wizard’s hand. “Nice to meet you.”
Wizard didn’t return the false sentiment. He released Miles’ hand while keeping his focus on Natalia.
“Thinking about branching out into the coffee business?”
“No.” Her cheeks reddened at his question. “Miles and I just stopped by to grab a cup of coffee.”
Not missing the secretive glance she sent Miles, Wizard studied them both. They were sitting stiffly, and Natalia looked so embarrassed she seemed ready to sink through the floor. It finally dawned on him what he had interrupted.
“First date?” His smile widened with amusement.
Natalia gave him a look that would have sliced him in two if he had been sensitive. Luckily for him, he didn’t have a sensitive bone in his body.
“You and the Yeti break up?”
Miles looked questioningly at Natalia. “Yeti?”
Turning her withering gaze from Wizard to Miles, Natalia tried to smile at her date and failed miserably. “He must mean Rocco,” she explained.
“The fucker’s built like a tank and loves walking around with a steel bat,” Wizard helpfully informed her date, whose teeth were so white he was tempted to put his sunglasses back on.
Holding himself back from dragging the fucker out of his chair and planting his own ass in it was a testament to how badly he wanted the Italian woman who could wither a man’s dick with one insulting glance. Luckily for him, she also ignited his lust every single fucking time, quickly sparking life back into the offended appendage.
“Your coffee is sitting on the counter,” Natalia said through clenched teeth. Her fingers tightened around her cup as if she were tempted to throw it at him.
Wizard ignored the threat.
“The Yeti is her boyfriend,” he told Miles with mock helpfulness. “I’ll admit, I took you for a wuss. Kudos, dude. You have more balls than I gave you credit for. I wouldn’t want to take him on for going out with his girl.”
The Rake wannabe turned pale as a ghost. “Your profile said you were unattached.”
Seeing his work was done, Wizard gave Natalia a complacent smile. “I’d better go. I don’t want my coffee getting cold.”
Striding back to the counter, he picked up his to-go cup, feeling Natalia throw daggers at his back. The writing on the side caught his eye.
A phone number.
Meeting the barista’s provocative gaze, he didn’t break stride as he walked toward the door.
Outside, he sat on his motorcycle and waited.
He was lifting the cup to his mouth when Miles came rushing out. The fucker was so anxious to escape that he didn’t notice Wizard sitting only inches away as he stalked past.
Wizard was lowering his cup when Natalia emerged. Watching her march angrily toward him in her fuck-me heels had his cock thickening inside his jeans.
