Ricochet narrowed one eye at her. “The hell it isn’t. You’ve been scarce all month, which tells me you’ve been seein’ him all month. I get keeping this from Ryan, but Mick, you should have told me.”

Mickayla broke out of my hold and put a hand on her hip. “Because you’d keep it from Ryan? No, Killian, you’ve never been good at keeping secrets from either of us.”

He looked between both of us. “Why is it secret?”

“You really have to ask that?” Mickayla asked.

“Yeah, I do, because you shouldn’t be hiding.”

“We were going to let everyone know at the end of this week,” I said.

Ricochet aimed skeptical eyes at me. “Not sure I believe that, brother.”

“I can’t believe you followed me here,” Mickayla said.

He frowned. “I didn’t follow you. I came here to swim with you because like I said last week, you still got it and you’re great at giving people pointers on their technique. Seeing you two in there, I didn’t trust any of us not to get tossed out.”

“So you’re mad,” Mickayla said.

Ricochet shook his head. “Not any more, but it pisses me off you can’t even tell me what’s goin’ on in your life.”

“Our brother is the reason why. I’m not gonna put you in the middle of this.”

His eyes widened. “You did anyway.”

“Are you off to tell him now?” she asked.

“No,” he said, then looked at me. “But other brothers are concerned about her, and I’m not keeping it from them.”

I kept eye contact with him. “Lark already knows, and I’ll call Volt to ask for a session of church this afternoon - tomorrow morning if needed.”

Ricochet lifted his chin, but his eyes still held a hint of anger. “Dad texted me early this morning. The Biloxi brothers are headed out here. You’re gonna have a much bigger audience on your hands than you expected.”

“Are you kidding me? They were supposed to come next week,” Mickayla said.

I’d forgotten about that. It was one of the reasons I’d wanted to come clean three days ago, but between Mom coming to visit, our schedules conflicting with Nickel’s, and Mickayla asking for more time, I’d given in.

Shit. When it rained, it really did pour.

“Plans change, sis.”

I wasn’t sure how the other brothers were going to react to me wanting to make Mickayla mine. One thing I knew was that I needed more brothers on my side than just Lark, and maybe Punc.

“We’re headed to breakfast. You want to join us?” I asked.

“What?” Mickayla asked, staring up at me.

Ricochet chuckled. “That’s my sign to say no, but I got pretty fuckin’ hungry sitting out here waiting on you two, so yeah. I’m in for breakfast - unless you two have to shower or some shit.”

“Killian, you never eat steak and eggs for breakfast,” Mickayla said after the waitress left our table.

He held his coffee mug to his lips. “I never had my triplet lie to me like this either.”

“Let that go,” she said.

After he swallowed his coffee, he put down the mug. “Ryan won’t. He’ll ask how long this has been going on. My guess is Christmas. He might even ask if Tundra’s the reason why you didn’t come home for the holiday.”

“Killian,” she said.
