“Okay.”

“That’s all you’re going to say?”

“What do you want me to say?”

“I don’t know.”

“That makes two of us.”

Her expression softened. “I won’t interfere.”

I gave her a look.

“I won’t interfere much.”

“Bliss.”

“Fine. At all.”

“You’re a terrible liar.”

“I’m trying to grow.”

“Try farther away from me.”

She smiled despite herself and linked her arm through mine as we entered the castle.

The lobby rose around us in pale stone, dark wood, and enormous windows overlooking the gardens. Chandeliers glowed above polished floors while arrangements of white roses and blush peonies covered nearly every table. Guests crossed toward the check-in desk, staff directed luggage toward different wings, and someone near the ballroom played the opening notes of a song on the piano before stopping to adjust the sound.

The entire place looked like Bliss.

Beautiful, emotional, and one decorative decision away from becoming a public safety concern.

Aura appeared through an archway wearing tailored black pants, a white blouse, and a headset. She held a clipboard against one hip and looked like she had overthrown the wedding coordinator within an hour of arriving.

“There you are,” she said to Cade. “Your mother wants to move the head table, Bliss’s aunt wants permission to bring her own champagne, and Easton has volunteered you to resolve both problems.”

Cade stared at her. “Where is Easton?”

“Hiding.”

“Coward.”

“He learned from you.”

Aura hugged Rider, then Briggs. When she reached me, she stopped and searched my face with none of Bliss’s attempt at subtlety.

“I’m fine,” I said.

“I didn’t ask.”

“You were going to.”

“I was going to tell you your room is on the third floor.”

“Sure.”

Her mouth moved before she wrapped her arms around me. “It’s good to see you.”
