Ryan stops halfway.
“Keep going.”
“You’re tight.”
“You’re enormous. We’ve survived this problem before.”
His laugh moves against my neck. “Compliments will get you everywhere.”
“That wasn’t a compliment. It was a logistical complaint.”
He presses deeper.
My fingers close around the forearm beneath my head while his hips settle against my ass. The fullness steals the humor from both of us.
Neither of us moves for several breaths.
Ryan’s mouth remains against my shoulder. His arm holds me tightly enough that every beat of his heart reaches my back.
“You’re in my bed,” he says.
“You’ve mentioned that.”
“You’re wearing nothing, your clothes are still in my kitchen, and Briggs is going to spend the rest of his life reminding me that he let you inside first.”
“I’m sure he’ll include it in his best-man speech.”
Ryan’s body goes completely still inside mine.
The silence lasts long enough for my own words to catch up with me.
“I didn’t mean—”
“I know what you meant.”
His voice has changed.
I turn my face toward him as much as the position allows. “Did that scare you?”
“Yes.”
The honesty comes without hesitation.
“Did it make you want to stop?”
His hand slides over my stomach and holds me closer. “Nothing you could say right now would make me want to stop.”
“Then don’t.”
Ryan begins moving.
The first thrust is shallow and slow, followed by another that reaches deeper. He keeps me fitted against his chest while his rhythm builds with maddening control.
His hand travels upward and closes around my breast. His thumb passes over my nipple as his hips roll into me from behind.
I moan his name.
“That is how I want to wake up,” he says against my ear.
