I was a type of person, for whom some things were better left unsaid. I knew the type of nigga I was fuckin’ with, but damn, I didn’t think that it was this bad. His ass sounded like he needed to be in rehab for not knowing how to keep his dick in his pants. Was I not enough? Since Jaquan and I got back together, I was damn near fuckin’ him every night. He could come home I the wee hours of the morning from out of town or from a studio session wanting to fuck, and I gladly rolled over and gave it to him, but clearly that wasn’t enough either.
“It’s not even like that, Charlie. When you and I were apart, I was out here doing dumb shit. I mean, hell, I was single and constantly surrounded by pussy. Fuck I’m supposed to do, stare at the shit?” he asked.
I gave him a look, letting him know not to fuck with me.
“You tell them hoes the same shit you tell me when you’re fuckin’ me?” I asked him.
I know it may sound childish, but shit, I wanted to know. We had already gotten this far into the conversation, so I wanted to know. I wanted to know the type of shit that Mr. Quan himself does when I’m not around.
“Shit like what, Charlie?” he asked with a smirk on his face, but I was everything but playing with his ass right now.
“You know, shit like how my pussy is so wet and how it grips perfectly for you. Also, how much you love me and let’s not forget your favorite line when you tell me that you want me to have your baby. You know, shit like that! Do you tell them hoes that?” I asked, folding my arms across my chest and daring him to say yes because I swear I was going to punch his ass right in his shit.
“Hell no I don’t tell them hoes that shit. The only hoe I tell that to is you.” He laughed, but I didn’t find it funny, so I shoved him hard as hell in his chest and turned around so that I could go back into the room but he pulled me down into his lap, stopping me from making my exit.
“Chill, Charlie, I’m just fuckin’ with you, girl. I do a lot of shit, but I’ll never tell another bitch no shit like that while I’m fuckin’ her. Take me back and I promise I won’t even fuck another bitch. I know you probably think I’m lying, but I already done sampled too much pussy and I had enough. I’m at the point now where I want something of the same kind every night, and that’s you. You can’t be mad at me over this shit forever,” he said.
I just nodded my head. I wasn’t about to agree to anything yet because I needed to teach him some sort of lesson. I never wanted to come across as weak and so easy to forgive Jaquan because then he’ll take me for a joke and continue to do little shit that would hurt me.
“Now that I think about it, how did you even know where to find me?” I asked him, making myself comfortable on his lap.
“I heard your conversation with Monae. Yeah, I heard everything that came out your mouth. Where dude that was trying to talk to you at?” I made a mental note to get in Monae’s ass for lying about taking me off of speaker. Because of her, Jaquan was able to hear my conversation about dude and where I had been hiding.
I could tell that he was jealous and it caused me to smile. “He’s coming. We’re going on a date tomorrow,” I said, fuckin’ with him.
“You a damn lie, I heard you say on the phone that dude was a lame. Face it, baby, you’ll never find another nigga like me, so don’t even waste your time looking for him,” he said, cockily.
“That’s your problem right there, Jaquan. You underestimate me too much. You’re right, I won’t find another nigga like you because I might find one better who actually respects me and doesn’t continue to cheat on me. Move!” I tried to get up from his lap because he had pissed me off again just that quick.
“Ay, is your period on or something? Hold up, what’s today’s date because I got that shit saved in my phone.”
Jaquan lifted me up and I watched as he went into his pocket and pulled out his iPhone. He unlocked the phone and his background was a picture of China and I, with her sitting on my lap and kissing my cheek. He then went to his calendar and on March 13th, he had a title that said, “Charlie’s time,” which was short for Charlie’s time of the month. I knew Jaquan made it his business to ask about my periods, but damn, I didn’t think his ass went around saving notifications and shit to his damn phone.
“Todays the 17th. Your period on, ain’t it?”
For the first time all week, I realized that I was four days late, which was really no big deal.
“Actually, it’s not,” I said, looking down at him. I noticed a smile on his lips.
“Don’t start thinking anything because I think it has to do with the fact that I’ve been stressing these past few days.” At least, I hoped that was what it was.
“What I have to do to make you get unstressed?” he asked me.
I rolled my eyes at his corny ass. “You can start by making your way out of my suite so that I can get back in the bed with my baby.”
He looked at me and sucked his teeth. “You crazier than I thought if you think I’m about to leave y’all here alone, now that I know where y’all at. Come on, let’s go inside before China wake up and see us not in the room with her.”
I didn’t even object to him, I just nodded and led us back inside the suite. Jaquan walked over to the bed and picked China up and placed her in the middle of the bed. I went over to my side, kicked off my house shoes and got as far away on my side as possible. I had my back turned to them, but I felt the bed dip down, so that led me to believe that Jaquan was now in the bed.
“Charlie?’ Jaquan called out after I was finally able to get my eyes to close.
“Yes?” I answered lazily, never even opening my eyes.
“I love you, girl, and I’m going to do better,” he said.
I heard him, but actions speak louder than words, so,
in order for me to take what he just said into consideration, he was going to have to prove that he can be that perfect guy for me. If he couldn’t do that, then our main focus needed to be China and nothing less, nothing more. So, instead of replying to him, I just closed my eyes and finally took my ass back to sleep.
