“What was the occasion?” Galen murmured against his ear as they walked back to the cottage behind Wren and Sparrow, who were holding hands and happily chattering away.

“The twins’ arrival,” Azriel replied, the bottle dangling from his fingers after another hearty sip. “And the other matter, of course. I don’t even know what to think. Madam Langley’s obviously only trying to ease my worries.”

“No,” Galen said, his hand darting out to curl around Azriel’s wrist. “I saw her make the tea that night. There was this…determination in her eyes, but at the time, I couldn’t be sure. Just a feeling I had. Now? It makes sense.”

“Are you quite certain?” he asked in a strangled voice.

“Yes,” Galen said, looking steadily into his eyes.

Azriel suddenly doubled over at the waist, panting. “It has plagued me so.”

“I know it has, my love.”

Galen dragged Azriel into a tight embrace, then softly kissed his lips before they separated.

The twins were watching them as they broke apart, likely a bit worried about Azriel, but possibly also because they’d never seen them show their affection openly.

“You are lovely together,” Sparrow said with a dreamy sigh.

Back at the cottage, they drank and laughed and spoke into the night, and eventually, Azriel seemed freer of some of his demons. At least for now.

The twins shared their idea of rescuing more young men like themselves off the streets.

“Your own version of Moon Flower?” Galen asked.

“Not exactly,” Wren replied. “We would make it suit our dreams.”

“Sounds perfect.”

Yawns all around, Azriel showed their guests to the second bedroom. Galen heard Sparrow’s tittering as he closed the door, probably because they could finally be alone together.

Once he and Azriel were tucked soundly in bed, they could hear the twins’ moans through the walls, but he couldn’t fault them. They’d certainly christened every room since their arrival at the cottage.

“They might be enjoying themselves a bit too much,” Azriel said with a chuckle. “Now go to sleep before I ravage you as well.”

“Is that a promise or a threat?” He could feel Azriel’s hardness through his nightshirt as he pulled him into a kiss. “They won’t hear us anyway.”

“You might have a point.” Azriel shifted so he was lying on top of Galen, giving him his weight just how he liked as he rutted against him.

Azriel’s lips feathered downward from his throat, over each of his stiffened nipples, then tickled across his belly button to his hard and waiting shaft. He sucked Galen’s cock, licked his heavy bollocks, then flipped him over to tenderly kiss his hole. Galen squirmed and pleaded as Azriel thrust his tongue inside him.

Then Azriel sank to the bed and urged Galen to sit atop him—the newly discovered position Galen enjoyed immensely, not only because he could control his movements, but also because this way, he could watch Azriel’s reaction to him. He might never tire of his beautiful face, his floral scent, and those eyes—one blue, one green—that were only rivaled by the deep purple and magenta of his aura.

Galen arched his back as Azriel took control and fucked into his thrumming body. “Spend inside me, my love.”

Azriel groaned. “You don’t need to ask twice.”

Once sated, they curled into each other’s arms, and Galen was relieved when Azriel drifted off to sleep, his tense brow finally easing.

Galen dreamed of frolicking in the lavender fields with Azriel for eternity.
