He kissed her gently. “Then I’ll just have to try harder to make you smile.” He fondled one of her breasts. “I think once things calm down, I may try my hand at erotic statues.”

“Gregor.”

He lowered his voice. “Ones that only you and I will see, of course.”

She shook her head and finally smiled. “I guess I could use it as blackmail, in case you step out of line.”

He growled. “You wouldn’t.”

She grinned. “Of course I wouldn’t. But it’s fun to tease you.”

He nipped her bottom lip. “I might be a bad influence on you.”

Running her hand down his side, Sid gripped one of his arse cheeks. “You were exactly what I needed, Gregor Innes. No matter how much I may sigh or shake my head, don’t ever change. I love you.”

He laid his forehead against hers. “I love you, too, and I plan to show you how much.”

As Gregor rolled her back under him and hooked her leg around his waist, Sid couldn’t stop smiling.

But then her mate moved his hips as he suckled her breast and Sid lost all train of thought. Clutching his hair with her fingers, she pulled her dragonman close.

It wasn’t long before she was screaming his name yet again.

Chapter Twenty-Four

Two days later, Gregor and Cassidy stepped into Bram’s cottage to find a room full of people.

Gregor recognized everyone but a human female with hair dark on the top and blue on the bottom standing next to Evie.

Cassidy stood up on her tiptoes and whispered, “That’s Dr. Alice Darby, Evie’s friend.”

Bram spoke up. “Aye, that’s Alice. Alice Darby, this is Gregor Innes, formerly of Clan Lochguard but unfortunately will probably soon be a part of Clan Stonefire.”

“Bram,” Cassidy growled out.

Grinning, Gregor squeezed his female tighter against his side. “Don’t worry, love. Bram says it with love.”

Bram sighed, but Kai Sutherland, Stonefire’s head Protector, jumped in. “You two can banter later. Right now, we need to sort out some business.”

Gregor met Kai’s gaze. “What business? Is it medical related?”

Kai shook his head. “No. Brendan arrived back on Glenlough safe and sound, and Molly Caruso is her old self.”

Cassidy asked, “Then just tell us what’s going on, Kai. You know I hate beating around the bush.”

“First, there’s an update with the whole Dragon Knight recruitment assignment matter. Arabella MacLeod managed to take down the message board and track down some of the people who posted to the thread,” Kai answered.

Gregor raised his brows. “Not all of them?”

Bram shook his head. “No. More than a few of them knew how to hide their tracks.”

Evie jumped in. “But at least the drug cocktail is now offline.”

“Aye, it is. But anyone who saw it before it was taken down might concoct their own version and strike again,” Bram said. He looked to Gregor and Cassidy. “That’s where you two come in. I need you to reach out to as many dragon-shifter doctors as you can and share that drug’s cure.”

Cassidy frowned. “Our allies will be easy, but the others might take some work.”

Gregor added, “But between the pair of us, we’ll figure something out. As it is, Cassidy and I want to create an organization where all dragon-shifter doctors share information.” Gregor motioned his head toward Trahern. “Provided Lewis stays and helps out at the surgery, we should be able to sort it all out.”
