“You weren’t really my Christmas gift.”

“If you love me you would tell her to keep her gift.”

Monica sighed. “I did tell her but…”

“Answer the damned door.”

Shooting Rick a look that she hoped singed his beautiful hair, she stomped her way to the front door and threw it open.

“Miss Adams?” A bearded man in a red velvet suit with white fur trim stood there. “I have a special delivery from Ms. Jules,” and he reached into his bag and pulled out a package. “Merry Christmas.” And holding his belly, he laughed, “Ho-ho-ho.”

And damned if he didn’t get into a helicopter and lift off. Mon wouldn’t have been surprised to see reindeer in front of it.

Rick clapped a hand on Monica’s shoulder. “Hot damn. It’s Christmas Eve and you had me so befuddled I forgot I’m supposed to be on the way to my brother’s. Will you go with me and meet my family?” he asked, spinning her around to kiss her.

“Really?”

He nodded and kissed her again.

“I’m almost afraid to open this.”

“Don’t. Whatever it is, your friend can’t be outdone unless … I was going to save this for tomorrow but…” Rick handed her a silver gift bag.

Tearing it open, she found a handwritten note. “This paper entitles you to one complete home remodelling from carpenter Rick Mason.”

“I wanted to say ‘live-in carpenter’ but I’m not moving in unless you accept this.” He flipped open a tiny box that contained a diamond ring and a wedding band. “Whether it’s love or lust, I think they go together like us. Will you marry me?”

“Absolutely. We may be crazy but as long as we’re crazy about each other, that’s all it takes.”

“Want to see what Santa brought?” Monica asked early one morning, a few days later, as she sat down beside Rick on her bed. After he gave her the rings, they’d rushed to leave for his brother’s where she’d been warmly accepted as Rick’s future bride.

“I’d rather see what you’ve got inside here,” he said, pulling open the top of her robe to fondle a breast. “And here.” He dropped his hand to her curly tuft.

“It’s only been ten minutes since you had what I have,” she said, throwing off the robe and climbing astride him. “You’re insatiable.” She smilingly tugged the hair on his chest.

“Look who’s talking,” he said, pulling her face down for a long kiss. “Okay,” he agreed, afterward. Filling his hands with the full globes of her breasts, he eyed them and waggled his tongue, causing her to grow wet. “Let’s see what’s in the envelope.”

“You play dirty,” she scolded as she tore it open. He knew damned well what he was doing to her concentration, but curious she pulled out a white gift card with gold rings embossed on it from Wedding Wonderland. The sticky note attached said,

“I figured you were stuck on Rick so I was going to cancel Nick but took your place instead, and I am replacing that gift with this one. Your fantasy was better than any I ever had. Thanks to you and Rick from Nick and me. If all goes well maybe we can shop for bridal attire together. And if you haven’t read my book yet, don’t bother. I can recognise love when I hear it in my best friend’s voice. Merry Christmas, Monica!”

“Aw hell,” Rick said. “I was hoping it was a gift certificate for Sex Toys Unlimited.”

“You are such a horny bastard,” Monica said. “All you think about is fucking me. Look at you. You’re hard already. Just say the word ‘sex’ and you’re ready.”

“Bragging or complaining?” he asked, clasping the cheeks of her ass to raise her into position to fit onto his cock.

“Boasting!” she declared, resting on her knees long enough to contract her muscles and squeeze. Smiling triumphantly, she watched the excitement on Rick’s face before he impaled her with his marvellous male shaft. “You’re the best Christmas present I ever had, Fantasy Man.” She gasped out the words as he flipped over and fucked her like she’d never been fucked before.

Fantasies could come true, and hers had.
