Lily smiled so hard she started to cry. The tears rolled down her cheeks. She knew it. She was carrying both of their babies.

“Hey, hey, are you ok, baby?” Sawyer wiped a tear from her cheek.

She nodded. “Yes. I’m fine.”

Dr. Alison removed the wand and turned the monitor to face them. “Why don’t I give you three a few minutes alone? I have another patient to check on and then I can come back and answer questions. I’m sure you’ll think of some.” She smiled as she closed the door behind her.

Jack gawked at the screen. “This is happening. Two babies?”

Sawyer laughed. “I guess we really did live up to our word. We each gave you a baby, Lily.”

She sat forward on the examination table. “I knew you did. And you know when I think it happened?”

“When?” they both asked.

“The linen closet.” She giggled.

“What?”

She tucked her hair behind her ear. “I knew it at that wedding. I knew it then and I know it now. It was the first time you were both inside me. And the wedding. The tuxes. You were groomsmen, just like my fantasy. I know that’s when we made these babies. You can’t convince me otherwise.”

Jack kissed her lightly. “I believe you. It’s when we made our family. In Napa. As groomsmen.”

Sawyer slapped his best friend on the back. “In Napa.”

The thought had been budding for a while, but she wanted to throw it out there. “What do you think about moving to Napa to have the babies?” she asked.

They looked at each other.

She jumped in to explain quickly. “It’s beautiful and peaceful. I could take long walks. I’d be out of the city and away from all this smog. And the estate is so beautiful. I want to have our babies there.”

Jack scratched the back of his head. “On one condition.”

“Ok, what’s that?” she asked. She couldn’t believe it was that easy.

He nodded at Sawyer. “Go ahead.”

Sawyer looked shocked. “Now? You want to do this now when she’s in a medical gown?”

Jack growled. “Yes, now. She wants to move to Napa.”

“All right. All right.” Sawyer reached into his pocket and pulled out a ring box.

Lily’s hands flew to her open mouth. “Oh my God.”

The box cracked open and she stared at the biggest diamond she’d ever seen in her life. There was an enormous center stone nestled between two solid bands of diamonds.

“The two bands are for us,” Jack explained. “I’m on the bottom, and Sawyer is the top.” He winked.

Lily giggled. “Is this for real?”

They nodded. “We can’t keep being groomsmen. It’s time to be the groom. To stop being boyfriends, and be the husbands you deserve. To be the fathers these babies need.”

Lilly nodded. She held out her left hand as Sawyer slipped all the diamonds over her knuckles.

“It’s a perfect fit.”

“So does this mean we can move to the estate?” she asked.
