ing. He simply looked at the two morons holding his arms and then he turned his attention back to Tyler .

“Seriously. What is your problem?”

“I don’t like you.”

“Why not? I’m a nice guy.”

“You’re an assfart.”

“A what?”

“You heard me.”

“How’d you even know where I was?”

“I know things,” said Tyler, grinning.

“Ok,” sighed Romeo. “Let’s wrap this up. I got a thing.” He glanced toward the bar.

When Tyler saw Romeo look away, he sucker punched him in the gut.

“Sure thing,” Tyler said agreeably.

Yeah, it hurt. But Romeo had been hit harder than that before, in the sparring ring and on the street, so it really didn’t faze him. At least not physically. It did piss him off though.

Romeo straightened up. The muscles in his arms and up and down his back grew tight. He steeled his jaw and narrowed his eyes.

“That’s the only free one you’re gonna get.”

“Really?” Tyler honestly thought he had the upper hand. “Hold him.”

The brother’s tightened their grip. Tyler cocked his arm. Then sirens and screeching tires as not one, but two cop cars skidded to a stop behind Tyler’s beater of a Mustang.

Officer Cole hopped quickly out of the first car and immediately zeroed in on Tyler.

“That’s it! I warned you guys.” He spun Tyler around and cuffed him.

The second cop focused on the brothers.

“Come on Office Cole, we weren’t doing anything.”

“Save it. I warned you.”

Then Officer Cole spun Romeo around and grabbed his right arm. As he grabbed his left Romeo caught a glimpse of his watch and the time. He looked over at Brix and then down the street. She should have been here by now.

“Let’s go. Both of you.”

Officer Cole shoved both Romeo and Tyler into the backseat of his car and pulled out.

“You’re lucky the cops showed up,” hissed Tyler.

“Is that so?”

“Yeah that’s so. I was about to kick your ass.”

Romeo mocked him. “You were gonna lick my ass?”

“No. I was gonna kick your ass.”
