"That was so good," he said, smiling.

"It was," I said and smiled back.

Finally, I slipped off him and lay on my back beside him, staring up at the ceiling fan, which moved in a slow spiral above us.

"I'm glad you came to Bali," he said and rolled over so that he was on his side. "Don't expect to do much else besides fuck me the entire time we're here."

I rolled over and faced him, smiling coyly. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Then we lay in each other's embrace and enjoyed the afterglow.

As I lay there, Josh's body warm against mine, the sound of the surf a distant roar, I thought to myself that I had fantasized about a life in Manhattan, escaping the disappointment of my previous life, and building a new one. I didn't imagine for an instant that the first man I 'd run into – literally – would be the one to capture my heart, but he did.

Neither of us knew where this would go, and that was okay.

Both of us agreed that we wanted to find out together.
