“Ditto,” Marcus said.

“Oh boy.” She laughed. “You’re in for a real treat.”

“Why?” Blaez lost the color in his cheeks.

“My crew is a handful.”

“Describe handful,” Kurt said, wanting to drag her back upstairs and grab a handful of one beautiful woman. Maybe if he could spend another hour in bed with his mate, he wouldn’t be so nervous about meeting her offspring.

Blaez pointed at her neck. “You might wanna…” He waved his finger at the bite marks on her pale skin.

“Do I need a bandage?”

“God no. That’s too obvious.” Blaez studied her neck for a moment more. “I’ll be right back.” He rushed upstairs and reappeared a few moments later. “Come here.” He unscrewed a lid on her makeup and dotted his fingers with beige foundation.

“Looks good to me,” Kurt said before peering out the window and noticing the minivan in the driveway.

“You can’t tell it’s makeup?”

“No,” Marcus replied, going to the door. “And the kiddies must be in a hurry to see their momma. They’re already heading for the house.”

“Don’t just stand there. Open the door,” Blaez barked, shoving the makeup container in his pocket.

“Are you ready for this, men?”

“As ready as I’ll ever be,” Kurt mumbled.

“Blaez? Marcus?”

“Sure,” they said in unison.

“All right, fellas,” she sang, reaching around them and pushing open the screen door. “Let’s go say hello to the family.”

THE END
