I grip her hips and hold her still while the throb continues in my jeans.

With my mouth clamped shut, I breathe through my nose slowly, trying to calm myself before I end up ravishing her on the floor. I can’t even remember what we were talking about before I started thinking with the head below the belt.

“Can we go somewhere really snowy?” Dahlia asks, kissing along my jaw.

“Snowy?” I groan.

“Yeah.” She climbs from my lap, leaving my arms empty and my body horny as hell.

Now in the kitchen, she turns the kettle on before facing me with a smirk on her face. “After we’ve had coffee, we’re heading over for lunch with Mara and Donovan . . . remember?”

Crap, I’d forgotten.

Mara called last night, interrupting another round of us getting each other off, to invite us to their place for lunch today.

I know what I’d rather eat for lunch, and that isn’t something for on the table in public . . . a table in private, definitely.

Smirking, I reply, “I remember.”

Her eyes narrow. “What were you thinking about?”

“What I’d rather be eating for lunch.” I chuckle when she realizes what’s on my mind and her eyes widen before they narrow with desire. “There’s nothing better than what’s between those thighs of yours.”

She squirms. “You don’t only have a wicked tongue, but a wicked mouth.” Walking out of the kitchen, she heads toward our room. “I’m going to change. I don’t want to leave here with wet panties,” she throws over her shoulder.

With that, my brain can’t think of anything but wet panties. I grin. It’s hot as hell knowing that I’m responsible for the condition of her panties.

Standing, I rub my dick and groan before adjusting myself. What I need instead of going out is relief, which is stupid if I think about it. No sex for years, then from the first touch of Dahlia, I can’t get it out of my head and I’m constantly wearing a boner.

In the kitchen, I make the coffees, and tasting mine, wince. Dahlia has a thing about instant coffee, but I’ve no idea how she can drink it. I think I’m going to buy another coffee machine. The last one sadly died.

With another wince, I pass Dahlia her mug and look her over. She’s wearing a pair of pink-cropped jeans, and matched them with a white tee shirt with a pink glitter heart on the front. She looks girly.

Smiling, I wrap a lock of her loose, red hair around my finger. “You look gorgeous.”

She’s piled her long tresses on top of her head with a few loose strands around her face and it shows off the elegant shape of her neck. Not only is she gorgeous, she’s beautiful inside and out. I’m so lucky that she’s mine. I wouldn’t be able to survive her being with someone else.

Dahlia reaches up and smoothes her thumbs over my brows. “Stop frowning.”

I wasn’t aware I was.

“What time are they expecting us?” I change the subject.

Looking at the time on her cell, she replies, “In twenty minutes.”

“Oh . . . Not enough time for a quickie, then?” I grin.

She rolls her eyes.

Dahlia

Ryder is incorrigible, and up until a few days ago, I’d only really seen the serious side of him. Oh, we’d had a laugh and spent a bit of time together, but he’s never been as relaxed with me as he has been over these past couple of days.

Before, I used to see him as the sexy, tough, and the all too serious Marine. Now I see him as the man with a big heart who cares deeply for me. Not that I’ll ever tell him, but he’s a big softy and someone I want to cuddle close to and never move away from.

Sitting beside him as he puts his truck into park outside of Donovan’s house, I’m suddenly suffering from an attack of nerves. This is the first time we’ve been anywhere as a couple, so I guess it’s pretty signif

icant. I can’t help wondering if Ryder realizes this.
