Mallory glances up and her beautiful smile lights up my insides. Pushing away from the wall, I slowly move toward her and give her time to turn the burner off and remove the pan from the heat. I cup her face and bring her closer for a sweet kiss. “I love you, and I want to dance with you.”

“I think that could be arranged.” She moves away and brings her cell phone over, opening a music app.

Moments later one of my favorite songs fill the kitchen. Unchained Melody. It’s the Righteous Brothers version. She glides back into my arms. “I adore this version.”

“I know.” She gently smiles. “I may have peeped at your most played song on your phone.”

I breathe against her forehead and move us around the kitchen. It’s the most beautiful experience of my life as we sway together. The music goes deep, just as my love for Mallory does.

When the song slowly comes to an end, I draw her closer and breathe a kiss against her forehead.

Epilogue

“Does your mom always smile so much?” I whisper to Joshua.

“More yes than no. She’s happy, and Dad will do anything to keep her that way.” Lily, his mom hasn’t stopped smiling since we’d showed up at th

e house and Josh had told her we were engaged. My ears are still ringing from her reaction to our news.

“I think your mom and dad are really cute.”

He groans, rolling his eyes at me. “They are not cute, they’re my parents.”

I snicker, and murmur into his ear, “I bet they have sex all the time.”

“I feel sick.”

“What’s wrong, honey?” Lily overhears. She presses the palm of her hand over his forehead.

Josh tries to duck out of the way. “Mom, I’m fine.”

He pinches me on the thigh, and I’m fairly sure he’d have pinched my butt if I hadn’t been sitting down.

“My lovely fiancée was wondering when the rest of the family would be here.”

I quickly glance at Josh, feeling panicked, but Lily says, “He’s told you about everyone I take it?”

“He has.”

“Don’t worry. We’re all friendly even if we can be a bit too much when we’re all together.”

“Joshua told me about his Uncles.” I smile and I’m sure he doesn’t miss the slight shifting of my gaze to him when I say this.

Lily gives a dirty laugh. “Oh! I bet he has.” She shakes her head. “The boys get carried away when they’re together so I’ll apologize now.”

Josh grins. “The boys?” He shakes his head.

“It’s appropriate as I don’t think they’ve ever grown up.” She wiggles her brows. “Well, in some areas they have.”

Josh groans and closes his eyes. “Mom, will you please behave in front of my girl, and you know how that talk makes me nauseous?”

“Son, it’s a fact of life—your parents have sex.”

“I think I love your mom, Josh.” I kiss him sweetly on the cheek.
