Around her throat she’s wearing the diamond teardrop pendant I purchased from the jewelers in Dubai, along with matching earrings.

Her hair has been curled and hangs down her back with the front swept up from her face, and jeweled clips holding it in place.

There is only one word to describe her. Stunning.

Rona

Walking toward Cade, he looks agitated until he turns around and spots me. Then, he goes completely relaxed and I see his eyes fill with love and excitement.

He looks so handsome in his linen shirt and trousers.

Now, standing in front of Cade, Lalaina, the wedding planner for the resort, takes my orchid bouquet and lays it on a table, allowing Cade to take hold of my hands, kissing my knuckles. “You look stunning.”

I smile. “You don’t look so bad yourself.”

Clearing his throat as he waits for us to turn toward him, the Master of Ceremonies begins our wedding vows.

Before I know it, we are exchanging our rings. Cade bought my wedding band at the same time as my engagement ring. He’d forgotten to buy himself one, so we’d taken a trip to the jewelers in Dubai to correct that.

As he slides the band on my finger, looking into my eyes he says, “Rona, wear this ring as a sign of our faithful love. In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Then it’s my turn. I slip his ring in place and say, “Cade, wear this ring as a sign of our faithful love. In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Then the Master of Ceremonies says, “Cade and Rona, you have exchanged vows and rings, and consented to marry in the presence of this company. By the authority vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.”

“At last!”

Stepping in close to me, Cade wraps his arms around me. “Hello, Mrs. Matthews.” Smiling, he presses his lips to mine. Opening my mouth to him, he tastes me and I move even closer, my arms around his neck, only to have the Master of Ceremonies coughing again.

We pull apart laughing, before signing the marriage license and thanking ev

eryone for making this day perfect.

Lalaina comes over, leading us to the golf buggy, decorated with flowers for the ceremony.

We’re heading back to our villa where we’re going to eat a meal we have already ordered, along with a cream, strawberry and chocolate meringue concoction I ordered instead of a wedding cake.

Cade

“Mrs. Matthews, Mrs. Rona Matthews,” Rona’s whispers to herself.

I laugh. “Do you like your new name, sweetheart?”

“Oh, yes.”

“And I love Mrs. Cade Matthews.” I grin at the look on Rona’s face, as she hadn’t thought of that one.

“My wife.”

“Wow, this is amazing. Can we have a party when Jake and Elise get back from their honeymoon? Along with Anna, Beth and their families, to celebrate our wedding?”

“I think that can be arranged.”

“Before we eat, let’s see if we can get Jake on Skype. I want the girls to see me in my wedding finery.”

“All right, how are you feeling?” I smooth my hand over her stomach.

“I feel like the luckiest woman alive right now. I have a husband whom I love with all my heart and I’m pregnant with his child. What more could I want?”
