"Every time you kill a demon, an angel earns its wings," Loki jokes.

"Boy, do I wish that were true," Heimdall says.

Raven uses a submachine gun better than I expected. Screaming like a warlord, she takes out an entire section of demons.

I take a second and share a surprised glance at her. She starts to crack up.

"What?" she asks. "You surprised?"

I chuckle. "I have to say - It's pretty sexy to see you annihilate evil like that."

She kisses the outside of her smoking barrel. "Hold onto your cock. There's more where that came from," she says.

She runs forward and jumps onto the back of a parked police car, absolutely decimating another crowd of evil with a rich spread of bullets. "Right through here."

The statue of the angel is revealed as the demons are gunned down. With the gemstones in my pocket, we can finally free it. I jump toward the enormous statue and lift the first gemstone in front of me. The stone cracks like an egg, and light shoots out. I struggle to stand because the force is nearly too much to handle.

"You're doing it," Raven cries. "You're freeing the angel."

The statue cracks, and a great roar is unleashed from within. The light from the stone dims and becomes useless as the angel whips its wings out. Staring down at me, its eyes illuminate.

It reads me like an open book. And when it knows that I'm a god, it simply kicks off of the pedestal and flies toward the Nephilims, attacking with all it is.

I look down at the remaining stones. One is glowing.

"We have to get inside," Raven says. "The second angel must still be there."

I can see the building of her old firm. It stands like a beacon of darkness, towering above the war zone. It is miraculously untouched.

Surrounding the massive structure is a group of military helicopters and Humvees. It's the same people that tried to stop me when I saved Raven's life.

Except... they're leaving.

"We'll search for the angel in the lower floors,” Heimdall says as we run through the streets.

I nod and gun another devil down. It feels like there is an endless amount of the bastards, but as we get closer to the entrance of the building, they stop following us.

"Look at them. They can't get close to the building," I say. "The angels must have something inside of them that protects them from evil."

"Or, maybe they were directed not to interfere," Raven says.

The last helicopter flies away as we reach the door, strangely leaving us with an easy amount of access.

"Where are they going?" I ask.

Loki shoots a few rounds into the air to get their attention. "Hey, weaklings. You're going the wrong way! The fight's right here."

We watch as the men and women in green camouflage leave the area.

"They're abandoning the city. It's like they don't care anymore," Raven says. "They're just... leaving everyone to die."

Someone has spray painted over the glass:

"Where were you when the world ended?"

We don't have much time before the worst people set the world on fire.

My vision is hazy. I can't think. I spin and breathe as best I can, but it's hard to keep fighting when it all feels so hopeless.
