Tears fall from his eyes as he takes a step back to check me out. "You're here. You're really here," he says. "I thought you were dead... Lucifer said he killed you."

I smirk. "Guess there's a lot to talk about, huh?"

He laughs. "Does that talk end with a ring on your finger?"

I kiss him and don't let go. "That depends on how good you are with a sword."

He grabs the handle and lifts it, flexing his forearm. "Is this what turns on the angels?"

"You've really gotten cocky during my absence, haven't you?" I ask.

"Not a bad adjective to use,” he says.

Loki clears his throat. "Guys, enough flirting. Hell is staring right at us."

Oops.

I turn and wave Heimdall back onto his feet. "Alright, everybody. On your feet with your weapons ready. We've got a devil to kill," I announce.

The four of us share a power so strong it can change the wo

rld. As I rise into the air, I issue a direct warning to the dark lord. "Beelzebub, I command you to stop. Bring the tides of the sea back down to their normal levels. Pull your devils away from this fight. Be gone or face my incredible wrath."

What was once fear is now the courage of a thousand gods.

A giant wave crashes down near the shore as a warning. Another one slowly begins to rise.

Lucifer struggles against the energy currents of the angels. "Lord, set me free. Let me fight for you. You need me," he says.

Beelzebub glances at Lucifer as a human might an ant. "Petulant child, you have failed me," he shouts. "Go back to your angels. Become the God you wished you could be."

The alliance between the two breaks in front of our eyes.

The angels start to spin around Lucifer's body. More and more energy beams shoot out of their eyes until he is covered in a bright light. A blinding explosion bursts forth, and he is sent flying into the cliff. Rocks crumble over him, burying most of his weakened body.

"No," he cries. "My power has been stolen."

"Power was never yours to take," I say.

With Lucifer out of the way, Beelzebub puts his massive hands into the air, summoning the weather to act on his behalf. Earth shakes with tremors, causing a piece of the cliffs nearby to crumble into the ocean.

The sea levels are still slowly rising, and the flames around us grow hotter and force us back. An army of demons waits for his call to action.

Beelzebub laughs. "And what makes you think that you have the authority to tell me what to do, little girl? I am Beelzebub, lord of the flies. I am a direct conduit to Satan himself. My army does not answer the requests of gods or angels. They bow their heads and submit to only me."

"Then, you will be forced back into the earth. You will rot for generations," I say, rising above the flames.

"Your speeches are inspiring, but you only harbor the power of four. The city is destroyed. There is no one on your side," he says.

"I have an army of love. That's all I need," I mutter under my breath.

More of the dead fall off his body. Beelzebub opens his massive mouth and blows the flames out. In this moment, everything seems to slow down. I look at Ash, Loki, and Heimdall. They're all ready to give their lives for the world to continue. I've never been graced with so many wonderful people.

It can't end now.

"Time to die," Beelzebub bellows.

I look up at the angels. "Gods and angels alike, this is your moment."
