EPILOGUE

I renewed my contract with Three Sisters, enlisting Gavin as the local horticultural expert. We were a great team. I was able to carry out my passion while including Gavin in my job which meant there was rarely an overnight trip where I had to sleep alone.

One year later he proposed to me in the same meadow where we made love. Of course, I said yes. He was my best friend and the love of my life. There was no one else better for me. And I made him a better man—he reminded me of that over and over again. So when we got pregnant, months into our marriage, I decided to turn in my keys at Three Sisters, and became business partners with Gavin.

Even though I left my old life to be with him, he never made me give up the things I loved. On the weekends I lead my family into the mountains, so that we could pass on our love for the outdoors to our little one.
