“Keep your voice down,” the woman growled. “I told you – you have exactly ten minutes to get your things, submit to a search, and then leave the premises. Or else, I’ll be forced to call the authorities.”

Panicked, I glanced over towards William’s office. I was expecting to see the door closed, as always, but William was standing in the doorway with his arms crossed over his chest, staring me coldly.

“William,” I called. “What’s this about? What did I do?”

That’s when the guard grabbed me and hustled me down the hall. “Keep your voice down, don’t make trouble,” he hissed in my ear. “Come on, Ms. Perkins.”

As the guards were shoving me onto the elevator, it hit me like a ton of bricks: that’s why Justin had treated me so coldly at first. He was afraid for me. He hadn’t been afraid for himself – he’d been afraid that I’d be fired as a result of our affair.

Tears streamed down my face as I rode silently towards the ground floor, sandwiched firmly between two security guards. Oh, Justin, I’m such an idiot, I thought. If only I could talk to you!

I knew that from the depths of my soul, I was going to miss Justin Long much more than I’d ever miss worked at Creovation, Inc.

Justin

“Oh, Justin,” Hannah said, running her hands through my hair. She snuggled close to me and looked at me with her beautiful green eyes. “I’m so happy right now.”

I grinned. “Me, too,” I told her. “I can’t believe it, actually. I can’t believe how good this feels.”

Hannah sighed. She laid her head against my shoulder and wrapped an arm around my waist. We were lying in bed together after having sex. There was a movie on in the background, but even though I was the one who had turned it on, I didn’t even know what it was. Nothing mattered. The only thing that mattered was Hannah, and she was right in my arms – exactly where she was supposed to be.

“I’ve never had a girlfriend before,” I told her, playing with the strands of her blonde hair. “But I want to treat you right, Hannah. Help me do right by you.”

Hannah licked her lips. She rolled onto her belly and smiled at me slowly, her eyes crinkling at the corners. Her lips were flushed and swollen from so much kissing, and she had a little red splotch on her chin from where my beard stubble had rubbed against her soft skin. It didn’t matter – she was easily the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen.

“I’ve never had a boyfriend, either,” Hannah confessed shyly. “I wasn’t kidding when I told you that I didn’t have very much experience.”

Just thinking about the word experience made my cock stiffen in my pants once again.

“God,” I told her. “I can’t be around you more than five minutes without wanting to sleep with you. Isn’t that crazy?”

Hannah giggled and blushed. “Not really,” she said softly. “Susan said all men are like that.”

I shook my head. “Definitely not me,” I told her. “At least, not until now. If someone had told me I’d be crazy in love with you, I wouldn’t have believed them.”

Hannah sighed. She rested her head against my shoulder. “I’m so happy right now, Justin,” she said softly. “I wish things could stay like this forever.”

“Me, too,” I told her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pulling her closer.

“Hey, asshole! Watch where you’re going!”

My perfect daydream of Hannah was interrupted as a girl glared at me, then threw up the finger. I couldn’t help it – I burst out laughing.

“What a bitch,” I muttered under my breath. I’d been standing in line at a deli for over twenty minutes now, waiting for lunch. It was a slow Monday and I was dying to get out of the office. When Hannah called me over to her desk and asked me to grab something for her to eat, I didn’t mind at all.

I always loved the way she looked at me at work. I could tell that she thought she was being so serious – so sneaky! Her lips wo

uld twist into a scowl and she’d raise her eyebrows, but she couldn’t wipe the look of adoration from her beautiful green eyes. It was hard not to laugh – being with her, I felt so obvious.

But there was a reason we were hiding our relationship. I didn’t want to risk Hannah’s job, or my own security in the future. At some point, I knew that I’d have to do something else – build a resume and find work somewhere else. But right now, it was almost fun to play with my father and pretend like I’d never kissed Hannah before.

Finally, I got to the counter. After ordering two sandwiches for myself and Hannah, I waited to the side until my name was called.

It was crazy – a month ago, I never would have done something like this. In fact, I would have been outraged that a woman asked me to do anything. But now, here I was, trotting around Manhattan like a happy housewife, ready to do anything for the woman I loved.

I knew I had to tell Hannah how I felt soon. I knew that she needed to know, that she deserved to know. But I didn’t know how to have that conversation. I know, it sounds ridiculous – a grown man like myself completely unable to tell the woman I’m dating that I’m falling in love with her.

But this was all new for me.
