The men groan their disapproval as they set their empty beer bottles on the patio table.
“You’re an asshole,” Jagger says, stepping toward the back gate.
“One day you’ll be in love, and you will all do the same thing,” Silas says, scooping me up in his arms.
They all laugh, each of them saying they’ll never fall in love.
As soon as they’ve all left, Silas holds me in his arms. “I do love you.”
I kiss his lips before answering back, “I love you too.”
