Placing her back to her feet he silently wiped her tears away. Cupping her cheek, he leant in and kissed her gently, then more deeply. He became possessive in his touch, his fingers laced through her locks, holding her tight and the soft sounds of her moans against his mouth coupled with the rapid beating of her heart, were pushing him to want to throw her to the ground and take her right there. He broke their kiss before he did just that, and moved his mouth to her ear, “I love you.”

“I love you, too,” she replied excitedly like a two-year-old. “You know, this is such a romantic proposal,” she whispered as Kai slipped on the ring and took her hand in his. He kissed the back of it as he led her back along the glass walkway towards the exit.

“What can I say, Juliet? I’m an old fashioned romantic,” he laughed.

“No, you’re more like a modern-day Romeo Montague,” she responded. She loosened her hold on his hand and wrapped her arms around his waist, “and you are all mine,” she added as his arm came to rest on her shoulder.

Squeezing her tight, he kissed her head. “Forever,” he whispered as they exited the walkway of Tower Bridge together, to the fading line of their song ringing in their ears.
