Chapter Eight

Sebastian

I make a loop through the hotel and the other wing of the building to make sure everything is moving along with getting the humans packed up and shipped out. There are a number of guests from the supernatural community still here, but they can leave tomorrow as planned all along. I’m less worried about damage control with them.

Within a quarter hour I’m done, and I head back to the ballroom. Which had been my intent all along. I have other staff who can notify me if Aza gets up to more mischief—now that we know she’s here—but what I really want is to see how Luciana handles herself. And mostly to see if the two of them let on that they’re working together.

Though, I’m beginning to wonder if Luciana is spying for another demon… a couple of the things she’d said earlier threw me off. She’d seemed genuinely surprised to know that Aza had arrived, and then telling me to kick her out? It hadn’t seemed an act. Either she’s the world’s best actress, or she isn’t teamed up with the demoness after all.

I head into one of the antechambers adjacent to the ballroom and close the door behind me. Crossing the mahogany-paneled room, I approach a painting of a Bacchus orgy (ironic, I know), and carefully remove it from the wall. Behind it is a tiny peephole through which the ballroom can be seen. I have them set up throughout the resort, and I regularly assign staff to watch the meetings that occur when people rent the rooms. Being a fantastic spy is one of my many talents.

And now I’m going to spy on the spy.

Pulling a chair over to my viewing spot, I sit down, press my eye to the peephole, and cast my gaze over the room beyond. It takes me several moments to find Luciana. She’s sitting on a pink loveseat about a dozen feet away from Aza making out with a woman with dark skin and long blue hair. My erection, which had never fully gone down from earlier, instantly becomes hard as steel again.

The woman Luciana is kissing is completely nude other than a pair of white thigh-high stockings, but so far Luciana has kept her clothes on, which seems an impressive feat in an orgy. She’s straddling the other woman, her black dress riding up around her thighs. The other woman is gorgeous, too, but for some reason I can’t take my eyes off my new toy. Those luscious lips, flashes of that bubble-gum pink tongue… her hands in the other woman’s hair, their long limbs wrapped around each other.

Apparently, I’m not the only one who can’t stop watching.

Aza rises from the pile of nude bodies surrounding her and stalks over to Luciana and the other woman. I can’t hear her, but I can read her lips. “Who in the seven hells are you?” she asks.

So, they aren’t working together. The plot thickens.

Aza takes Luciana’s hand and pulls her off the blue-haired woman, then leads her back to the group on the floor a few feet away. When they reach the others, Aza turns and strips Luciana’s dress off of her like she’s unwrapping a present. My dick feels like it’s going to break out of my pants.

Underneath the dress, Luciana is wearing a black thong and lacy matching bra. Her curves are insane. Aza runs one finger down the side of her cheek, her gaze absolutely carnivorous.

I have a golden opportunity here. Aza is as smitten with my new employee as I am. It’s the perfect opportunity for me to have Luciana spy for me. At least while I figure out who she’s spying for. I couldn’t have asked for a better inside connection to Aza.

But I can’t do it.

Because if I don’t have Luciana right here, right now, I’m going to lose my mind.

I stand and spin away from the wall, striding quickly for the door to the antechamber, and from there, the door to the ballroom. My long stride takes me across the room, where Aza is guiding Luciana down into the writhing pile of bodies. When I approach, they both look up at me in surprise.

I paste a languid smile on my face, as if I have no worries in the world. “Ah, I see you’ve found my new pet.”

“Thank you for sending her, Sebastian. You really are the consummate host.” Aza shoots me a wicked smile.

“I’m afraid I must interrupt, however.” I smile apologetically. “Luciana and I have something we need to attend to.”

“You cannot deny me this,” Aza says, the first edge of a warning in her tone. “Really, Sebastian. Be reasonable.”

“You will see her again tomorrow, and throughout the summit, no doubt.” I put a bit of sharpness into my smile. “Good things come to those who wait.”

“And good things come to those who claim what they want when they want it.” Aza’s eyes turn from golden to black like an eclipse of the sun.

Power flares off of me. “I suggest you don’t impose on my gracious hospitality, Aza,” I growl.

We stare at each other for several moments, then the demoness laughs and her posture relaxes. She lets go of Luciana’s wrist. “Oh, I do love seeing you get all riled up, Sebastian. Many think you’re just Caspian’s little brother, riding along on the family name.”

“Good thing I don’t pay attention to the opinions of imbeciles.” My tone is sharp enough to cut. “Let my staff know if you need anything further this evening.”

I glide my hand under Luciana’s elbow. She grabs her dress off the floor and casts me a wide-eyed look as we stride away. I can hear her heart racing in her chest. I don’t say anything as we leave the room and move through the hallways, or when I shove open the exterior door and stride out into the courtyard. We head toward the winery, and the cottages beyond.

“Sebastian—” Luciana begins, and it’s the soft lioness purr of her voice that pushes me over the edge.

I yank her into an alcove on the edge of the courtyard, a small walled garden with a koi pond, and shove her against the ivy-covered stone. She lets out a small gasp and drops her dress as I run my hand up her bare thigh and around to her ass, grabbing a fistful of flesh. With my other hand, I grab her wrists and trap them above her head.
