Shit.Thatdidn’tgo well, I think as I watch her car pull out of my driveway.

In my defense she blindsided me with the question. Then she didn’t give me the chance to answer before she babbled on and left in a hurry, leaving me standing there like a bumbling idiot in the doorway.

I want to call her back, and tell her she means the world to me. To tell her that we can make it through anything. But she has a point, this is so new and all her concerns were pretty valid.

Can we withstand the distance? The trials that are sure to come our way? I don’t know, but I know I want to try. I just need to find a way to show her that. To show her that we’re worth taking a chance on. To show her that I want her to be my forever.

I pull out my phone, and I’m about to dial her number, when I realize she’s still driving. I can wait until she gets home, we can talk about it later tonight.

Perhaps it’ll be better to wait until we’re together again, so we can have this conversation face to face.

This conversation can wait a week, can’t it?
