Our honeymoon had been a fantastic weekend in the hotel where our story started. We'd arrived Saturday evening and came home Monday, after a late checkout, my wife did a brilliant job arranging it at such short notice. I loved the way that sounded—my wife. We didn't leave the room all weekend, never got dressed, and indulged in some good baby making practice. We'd arrived home in the late afternoon and Lizzie ran us a bath. She was spoiling me, and I let her.

She beckoned me into the tub where she was already sitting, and I nestled in between her legs. My test results showed I was a match for my father and the bone marrow procedure was to take place soon. I sat in the warm bath thinking about the potential pain that was coming. Lizzie had been quiet since we got home, but I chalked it up to her being tired. We sat in silence for a while as she washed my arms and hands. My eyes were closed as I soaked up her love and affection.

"Phin, I think I am pregnant," she whispered.
