I expected her to protest, that she could do it all, or to get mad at me for calling her out.

“You’re right,” she said in a soft voice. “I know you’re right.”

Well, that was progress. I kept moving my fingers in a circular motion, doing the best I could before sliding down and working on her shoulders.

I was trying to keep this as platonic as I could, but it was hard to rub her shoulders with her shirt on.

“Can you take your shirt off?” I asked, and her fingers went to work on the buttons. She pulled her arms through the sleeves, and then pulled the undershirt over her head.

No bra, as usual.

My fingers traced up and down her back, and I enjoyed every single touch. Her back was so damn sexy.

“You’re so beautiful,” I said, and she looked over her shoulder at me.

“Kiss me,” she said, a little bit of her commanding energy coming back.

Of course I kissed her. I kissed her and let her slide her tongue into my mouth, and change our positions so she was above me, straddling my hips.

“I was supposed to be taking care of you,” I whined, and she smiled down at me.

“Isn’t taking care of me about giving me what I want?” she asked.

“I guess,” I said.

“What I want right now is to lick you from your toes to the tips of your fingers and everything in between,” she said, and who was I to argue with that?

Alivia stripped my clothes off slowly, kissing every bit of skin she revealed. By the time she put her face between my legs, I was so ready to come, I couldn’t even beg anymore. I could only make incoherent sounds.

After she had her way with me, I asked her if she wanted to take a shower, and so we soaped each other up, and I finally got to make her come, which was extremely satisfying.

Once again, I was glad for my overnight bag, even though I loved wearing her clothes to go to bed.

“I brought some tea,” I said, pulling a few packets of tea bags out of my bag.

“That sounds good,” Alivia said. I could have gone downstairs and used the tea kettle, but it seemed silly, so I just boiled some water in the microwave for two cups.

Alivia and I got in bed, and she seemed thoughtful again.

“I’m going to start training Callie to do some of my jobs. And I’m going to look into hiring an assistant manager. We can definitely afford it. Speaking of that, I need to hire someone to do the books.” I honestly had no idea how much fucking work she did.

“If you need any recommendations for bookkeepers, I can ask my aunt.”

“Could you?” She asked, combing her fingers through her hair.

“Absolutely.”

I wanted to help her in any way I could.

“If you need any help with social media, I can do that,” I said.

“Thanks, but we just started working with Piper and her company, so we’re set in that department.” I knew Natalie’s boss was this big-time brand strategist, so that was pretty cool that she was willing to work with a smaller customer like the inn. I would have to ask Natalie if she’d had a hand in that at all.

“They do amazing, work, you’re going to have more people coming here now than ever,” I said.

“I hope so. I’m just worried about the winter when the weddings slow down.” That was the catch with seasonal businesses. You had to make hay while the sun was shining in the summer to get you through the winter.
