David playfully rolled his eyes at the ceiling. “The article says he inherited the company from his parents after they died. It also says he’s a boy genius or something when it comes to business. He’s not just some figurehead.”

“Did I tell you that he has a beautiful smile?” Chance asked. He picked up his glass of beer waiting for David’s response.

“I’m serious, Chance. What are you going to do with someone like him?”

“Hopefully get to know him and spend some time with him,” Chance answered. “I’m not interested in his money or his business, just him.”

“Good answer,” David said. “But there are a lot of people who aren’t as nice as you. He just can’t wander the streets all willy-nilly like the rest of us. I’m surprised he didn’t have some kind of security with him yesterday in the park and the day the two of you met.”

“He had on casual clothing both times. In fact, he looks more like a college student than some rich executive,” Chance said.

“Just be careful,” David said. “Never take him someplace that doesn’t have a lot of people.”

“He’s already explained that he can’t go out much, and most of the time he has the baby when he’s not working. But thanks for the advice.”

Adam and Nash came back to the table and the conversation ended. The four of them drank more beer and then Chance went home to get some rest and to think about some of the things David said.
