Her cheeks flushed a beautiful red, and I saw her gulp, her eyes trailing over me, “y-yes, I am okay. You didn’t have to do that for me.”
I heard the girl huff slightly behind me, “of course, you were doing it for attention. What kind of guy would want to touch you like that?”
Ava’s jaw clenched, looking really hurt, and it pained me to see that expression on her face. I didn’t want to see that ugly expression on her face ever again, wanting to see those rosy cheeks turn red and those eyes light up. If it wasn’t the fact that she was standing here right now, I would’ve turned around and shot the bitch where she stood. How dare she talk to Ava that way? Doesn’t sound like a very good friend if you ask me.
“Would you like to have some drinks with me?” I invited Ava, ignoring the piercing glare from the other girl, “don’t worry either; all I want is you.”
Ava’s eyes widened slightly, looking back at the woman who had tried to come between us. Seeing how I reached out and took her hand, patiently waiting for an answer, I saw this happiness appear on her face. Not from gloating that I had chosen her, but just happy that I wanted to spend time with her.
“Yes, I would love that!” She told me sweetly, squeezing my hand.
I led her towards the VIP area, wanting as much alone time with her as possible where we would get to know each other. It was a strange feeling, one that I’d never felt before. I didn’t want to just have her for the night…
How could I do that to her, and make her mine?
