“In fact, let’s make that rule number one.” She grinned a sweet smile.
“You and your damn rules.” I laughed.
“I’m serious!” She tapped my shoulder. “I like my rules, so you’re just going to have to accept that about me.”
I lifted my hands. “Okay, okay. Accepted. So, what’s rule number one now?”
“Rule number one is that we support each other in whatever crazy thing we want to accomplish. No matter what it is, we help each other achieve all our dreams and desires.”
I twisted my lips. “I like that. But I think that should be rule number two.”
She scrunched her brow. “Why? What’s rule number one?”
“That we love each other until the end of time.”
I dipped her backward, and she gasped as I caught her and suspended her in my arms.
Her gorgeous smile spread wide as she grinned up at me. “Deal.”
“I love you, Ivy. Always and forever.”
“I love you too, Ethan. Always and forever.”
I leaned down and kissed her to seal our deal, and as our lips touched, I knew that this next adventure we were going on, the adventure together, would be the greatest one of my life.
