Page 82 of Denial

"Ugh. They're giving each that look again," Tristan states, his disgust very clear. "They're gonna start kissing soon."

"Let's get outta here," Liam suggests.

They take off, half eaten burgers in their hands, and Shawn and Alicia join them.

"So, are we?" Jeremiah asks, standing up so he can lean over me.

I tilt my head back. "Are we what?"

"Gonna start kissing?"

I smile. "You tell me."

He leans forward more, bringing his lips to mine. Soft, warm, perfect as always. He only licks the tip of his tongue between my lips, teasing me with a groan, before pulling away. When my eyes flutter open, I look at Ezekiel.

He grins. "You never even need to ask me."

He moves to the edge of his seat, gripping my chin as he kisses me, not hesitating to slide his tongue into my mouth. I'm groaning now, need thrumming through me, even though I know they won't be able to do anything about it until tonight. But how can I not when his kiss is demanding, full of lust, perfect. He backs away from me and my eyes lazily open once more.

"It's not fair," I shakily say. "You always get me riled up in public."

"And we always take care of it in private," Jeremiah replies. "I like knowing you're walking around wanting us all the time."

"Just as long as it’s mutual."

"A lot of things will change," Ezekiel begins, "but that's one thing that never, ever will."

That I know. That's what they tell me all the time. It’s what they show me again and again. Just like their love.

How could I have ever been in denial about it?
